yea im from norcal (the goalie #1, maybe u guys who were there saw me play...) but heres the rankings for the a bracket: blc, colorado, fireballs, friars (PA), texas, norcal, long island, minnesota. as for the b bracket, i kno NorCO (ft collins) won it, not sure over who tho.

the standings seem about right. i didnt realize colorado was that good :)
the fireballs are from md right? i expected higher from them.
of course me being from texas, what did you guys think of team texas this year

yea colorado had some pretty good guys, big guys too. team texas was just as quick and just as physical as norcal(my team). we are usually the most physical team in the tourney(refs hate us for it) but texas stepped it up and beat us the first time 10-9 and the second time 8-6, so we were pretty evenly matched. fireballs are from md.

*sigh* NorCo won div. B?....grrr we almost got into a fight with them...because on of their players started pushing our coach around and cursing at our players while doing to handshakes at the end of the game.
*edit*
I heard some teams had college players on their teams or people older than 17...

yea, the friars of penn.(malvern prep) had a bunch of graduated seniors(one guy had on a loyola college d-1 cpx on), colorado had a few guys.

I played for Team NorCo (Norther Colorado), and yea, we did end up winning the B bracket...we beat Centennial, aka Cherry Creek (*******S! :agree), 6-5 for the championship...suprisingly we beat Point Break in the semi's after a triple over-time...we were down by 2 or 3 and ended up coming back and beating them by uno...I actually do remember you NorCal goalie (#1)...

for team texas, you had to be invited to try out, and if you made the tryouts, then youd be able to go

This tournament sounds real cool and it seems like you guys had a blast. Could you give me some info on how these things work?
Do you have to pay for you own transportation or do sponsors pay for and is it mostly decent players or is it the best kids in the country? Do you have a list of what teams sent players?
Sorry about all the questions but I am really interested in these things, they sound great.
MClothier

in most cases u have to pay ur own way. norcal was like 1300 for everything, but worth every penny. its not the best of the best kids in the country, but they are a lot better than most players (thats y they call the teams "all-star" teams).

most tournament you have to pay for everything. transportation there, lodging, tournament fee, and in most cases you have to pay to be on whatever team your playing for
kryptic

whoa...our cost per person was like $300...we really only payed for transportation, the hotel, and the tourny fee....all our equipment we got to keep and was free
