I see my step brother who is 13 play it all the time.... He's been playing it for a couple months... since he's gotten the game, Its a rare sight to see him out of his Cave (room)... When he does come out it's only for food. That game must be addicting as hell.... It must be good if it has like 7 million players .... I looked into it for like 15 minutes... I bet if I played it and got into it I would get hooked... but i'm not...I'm a FPS guy anyways... Has anyone played it? Is it really addicting? I heard a person at school called it "world of Warcrack"... I'm gonna stay away from it... My stepbrother is doomed... When I asked him to go throw the football outside... he said "What is this outside you speak of?" and then went back into his cave. :whyme:

-If any lacrosse players play this game.. I don't know how you do it... with practices and all.----AND $15 a month is too much imo

I found out about it when he showed me this WoW video...I don't really know whats going on in it.. but he said - Some people were having a funeral for a person that died in Real Life that played the game.. and they like walked up to a lake and said stuff about the person..... Then some other people come and totally ruin it and bomb it...I guess it would be funnier if you played the game and understood what was going on in the video. :wow:

Its a Massively Multiplayer Online Role PLaying Game (MMORPG). The funeral thing is people that take that game way to damn far... I used to play but was a very casual gamer and it didnt take my life. To some people REALLY get addicted fast my friend it is all he does. A lot of people really enjoy the game because it gives them escape, others like me enjoy a good RPG. You create an alias and an image for your self and play with people all of ther world. Uh i guess that wasnt realy clear and i have outed myself as a nerd. *Stands up* Hi my name is scott and i am a nerd*sits down*

This game is kinda crazy... I almost got addicted one night playing at a friends house one night, till 4 AM. But I too am a FPS and third person shooter my self(GoW, CoD). These things are weird but it is an escape to pretend te be a hulking 6'5" dude with huge muscles and a sword crushing little demons i guess.

I feel bad for all the kids that play this game.

Regardless of what anybody says, kid's who play this trash are the perfect example of the degeneration of the world's youth.

Adults who play this, well that is even more pathetic.

Edit: I've played before, so I know what I am talking about.

Yeah I havent played any video games for like a year except for the usual football and hockey games and Counter-Strike a little in the summer... The first game I played in a LONG time was Gears of War for XBOX360... It was one of the best games I ever played.. next to HALO

I've played and got hooked and stoped because my friends played it, it is as addicting if not more addicting than crack. The best advice I can give anyone about this game is to not ever start playing it, its like drugs you have to pay to play (Like 15 dollars a month), It ruins your social life, and it ends up being all you want to do... I didn't get to that point but its not worth it, there are better games out there that you don't have to pay to play and all that crap. FPS are the way to go IMO.

It's a fun game, but it's too time consuming to do stuff in my opinion (but I'm sure that's intentional.) I played the beta when they first released it and then my friend let me play off of his account but I got bored of it quickly. I'll stick to blowing up aliens and terrorists. :)

I know some people that play. It seems like an insteresting game but I have a life. All they usually do is talk about the game with their warcraft lingo.

I play. I have a life. I'm the captain of my team, I run practices, I work out 3 days a week, I have a very time consuming girlfriend, and I have alot of really close friends.

It is easy to get caught up in it, but seriously, unless you have issues already, it shouldn't overcome your life.

Try it out, its no worse than playing counter-strike or madden. A game is a game, if you play madden for 1-2 hours a day, you are just as much of a loser who plays an MMO for 1-2 hours a day WITH OTHER PEOPLE THAT HE CAN TALK TO. Ok, there ya go.

Its fun, meet some new people, and just get to goof around.

Try it before ya knock it.

south park and http://youtube.com/watch?v=LkCNJRfSZBU that are really the only things i know about warcraft. I think id like it but i dont like playin video games on the computer. Also after seeing the video i think id be one of the people who just run in, it seems like theres too much planning in the game

Wow as they call it. I think it's funny, around here only the really nerdy kids do it, but I don't know about other areas. Anyway, it's this game with a ton of strategy and from what I have seen, nerds in your group or whatever really freak out if people just do stuff carelessly and wing it. Supposedly it sucks your life away and the line between reality and WoW begins to fade the more you play it

Can someone please explain the concept of the game?

Its a huge RPG(role played game) and millions of people play online, you develop a charector and complete missions/quests, you gain levels, get money, learn new traits/abilities, new weapons ect.

its kinda like Evercrack in my opinion im not one of these MMORPG kind of guys its just way to time consuming in my opinion, i would stop your brother playing this game before its too late man, but seriously 10 hours infront of a computer is way to much time to be sitting on your bum

mmos are really pretty fun i used to play that star wars one, with school and a job and lacrosse it was fun to mess off when you have to be all good in real life the whole time, like in school a lax captain and working and all that its fun to be a purple lizard and go run around causing hell every once in a while.

Lax.53
11-28-2006, 04:53 PM
that video is exactly what im talking about, you cant do that stuff in real life but its funnier then hell in game, these games become a problem IMO when you start taking it as serious as real life (ie having some hardcore serious funeral)

I've wanted to play, especially seeing as Blizzard makes great games, but once I pay for a game, I draw the line at having to pay subscription fees. And I really don't have the time to devote at the moment to a game that I would feel compelled to play nonstop to make sure I'm getting my subscription fee's worth. Otherwise I'd have joined up long ago, unlike the artards who go outside and play basketball rather than sitting at their computers making a difference.

No more drug references! Stick to the game. I cant see this being all nice with the drug talk getting involved. GAME ONLY!

You can talk about how the game is addicting, but the second this turns to a discussion about drugs and their "properties" warnings will be handed out.

Keep the discussion about the World only.

Go watch South Park, specifically the WoW episode (it's used in a lot of other episodes, but stood out in this one).

Nothing made me laugh harder than Randy (because he's on of my favorite SP characters) sulking away from Stan's room sighing, "I'm not an artard..."
