I have a few problems with the way this is strung. The big one is when I shoot. I was able to play wallball fine with it and it only took a few throws to adjust, however when I shoot the ball goes pretty much straight down and to the left. The release however seems to be really fast, which I like. Also, when I first strung this the hold seemed to be really good but now when I am in my room just playing around with it it seems to be lacking in the hold department. Indoor lacrosse starts this weekend and I want to have a stick that works by then, so what should I adjust to regain the hold, keep the fast release, but have a little less whip when shooting?

Thanks.

It looks like it would get caught in the U.

I think you need to take out the u because it sounds like the ball is getting stuck there

First pound the crap out of that pocket that should give it more hold. I make my v's in a different shape to make a bigger pocket.

make the u wider and a little tighter. also what could be making it go down to the right could be that either its getting stuck as said or the u or other shooters are uneven. but ya do whats been said and you should be good.

Wrong, make it looser.

sounds like the u shooter is the problem. Just mess with it, change it to weaved, tighten it, loosen it, change it to a v, make it a straight one, keep fiddling with it until you get it how you like it.

loosen the U and fix up the straight shooters, also maybe re-do the topstring(something more simple). if nothin works, tryto restring it on thursday and practice friday with it

Alright I will try these things. Thanks.

But the deepness of the pocket hasn't changed since I strung it up so I think something else might be affecting the hold. Maybe I'm just moving my hands differently or something.

the problem may be the U shooter, but if you find its not i recomend that you restring the sidewalls completely. i can see that you have a channel formed by your sidewall configuration, and if one sidewall is even a little bit different then the other side it may make it so that the channel becomes lopsided causing the ball to release in an odd way.

I altered the U some. Pretend there is another nylon in there, I took the other one out becaues it looked uneven and I just haven't put it back yet.

Do you think this will provide a smoother release or is there something else I should do? If not, what would be a good shooting string setup that would give me good hold and an accurate/fast release?

How did you string your top string ... it looks like it would have a lot give causing the ball to get stuck up top and throw into the ground ... does any else see that?

i think you should look at Orange's mesh tutorial and redo the top string

Yeah, your topstring looks a little wierd...
