Ok so I am going to be in florida over x-mas break, and my mom just told my my gf can come with, if she buys her own tickets (I'm almost 18 and we've been dating for quite some time). So anyhoo, she wants to come down the 26th/27th of december and leave the 1st of january, and ft. meyers (fla) airport is the only one that will work. I've tried to following:
expedia
travelocity
orbitz
usair
delta
continental
airtran
southwest
jetblue
and USA3000
and i can't get below $500 a ticket
...and I'm not sure about using priceline cause i dont wanna get up at the crack of dawn on new years day
so do you guys have any sites that you use for secret airfair or somethin like that? Any other airlines i didn't know existed..like some discount airline. any help is appretiated
thanks guys
-Mike-
oh yeah, Philadelphia, Allentown, or any of the New York airports work
-thanks TLF

I know it is kind of far, but Spirit in Atlantic city flys to Florida for pretty cheap. It is about a 45 min drive from Philly International
just checked it is 447 round trip

umm frequent flyer miles?....i fly free or next to free couple times a month to cleveland to visit my girlfriend and use them to fly her down to me. ask your mom if she would be willing to use them...or ask your girlfriend if her mom will use some of hers. thats pretty much the only way to get a cheap ticket that i know of

Try BIDDINGFORTRAVEL.COM and click on the plane logo. I know this is a stretch but you could do the following, try Southwest out of Islip/MAcarthur on Long Island. You could take Amtrak to Penn Station, LIRR to Bohemia where Islip Macarthur is located or try Southwest out of BWI, Baltimore, Md.

fatmanlax is right, driving down isnt too bad and can be knocked off in two days easy, but during the holidays it may be slow.

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine was able to drive to Floridia for free, it just so happens that rental car agencies need cars delievered down south, you pay for gas, tolls, and you have to drop off car in x amount of time, call all of the agencies and see if they are still doing this deal? Finally AMTRAK, but make sure you get a sleeper, trust me it is worth every dollar than reg. fare!

Yeah im pretty sure that if you get a cheap flight, they will take you to like 3 different airports b4 you end up at where you wanted.
