now that the puzzle of preseason is finally almost finished, lets hear who you think will:

1.get into the final four

2.win the championships and who will be the runner up

3.win the tewaaraton trophy

4.who will be the surprise team of 07 (ie loyala 98, navy 04, duke 05, and umass 06)

my picks:
1. hopkins, virginia, princeton, duke

2. princeton over hop

3.matt danowski should win, but i want alex hewit to win.

4.watch for the irish this season. Nd looks like it could surprise some people.

EDIT: i know there is an 07 champs thread, but this is alot more than that.

I still like Denver, they always have a solid team, and they only improve, once again, they have a tough east coast trip. @ Penn state, UNC, AND Duke. WOW, talk about starting off on a tough foot.

1. Hopkins, Virginia, Syracuse, Princeton

2. Syracuse over Princeton

3. Matt Danowski, will be the most dominant player in the country this year

4. UNC, i think the tar heels get a winning record this year and a ncaa tourny berth

UVA, JHU, SU and ???? OK make it Princeton

Hopkins over Syracuse

Matt Danowski but Ben Rubeor is a real possibility with Greg Rommel a long shot

Loyola...Cornell can't be considered a surprise. Carolina could but they are smallish and probably will wear down during the season. Also, same coaches as before.

they also lost 3 other great lacrosse players who were pretty much the terps offense. if they get to the final four again i think that would be a big accomplishment

Though I am obviously biased, I do truly believe Navy has a legitimate shot at the Final Four and I agree with you that Billy Looney is an excellent player with a lot of potential.

1) Hopkins, UVa, Syracuse, Duke

2) (A)Champ Winner- UVa (this is a tough one, and, to be honest, I chose Virginia solely because they are my favorite team.)
(B) Runner Up- Hopkins

3) Matt Danowski- Definatly a force to be contended with

4) I don't know if this could be considered a surprise team because a lot of people are saying that they are going to go far, but Georgetown. If not, I think North Carolina may finally have a turn around season.

Could someone give some reasons for why UNC is going to be good? And I don't think you can qualify any team from the ACC as a "surprise". UNC and Maryland should be there and shouldn't be happy wiht anything less.

As for the categories:

1. Virginia 2. Syracuse 5. Johns Hopkins 6. Delaware

1. Virgina 16 vs. 6. Delaware 10

Alex Smith or Cam Howard

DELAWARE

lhslax1990
01-05-2007, 03:42 PM
home town picks bwinelax42...and i think people dont expect duke to dominate in the wake of their problems but theyll be back to their final 4 form, and delaware is not making the final 4 no chance

d-pole01
01-05-2007, 04:57 PM
1.John Hopkins, Virginia, Syracuse, and Princeton

2. Syracuse over John Hopkins 12-10

3. danowski (i wish dingman :worship: )

JaxLaxdefender8
01-05-2007, 06:43 PM
1.'Cuse, Princeton, Georgetown, Hopkins
2. 'Cuse over princeton (possibly over hopkins)
3. Danowski should win it but there should be some great players this year.
4. Denver or OSU look for them to both be great this year

GoalieBen1
01-09-2007, 05:02 PM
1. UVA, Cuse, Gtown, Princeton

2. Princeton over Gtown

3. Danowski or Hewitt

I have to represent. Never since the days of a man called Grant have we had such a great chance at the Big Four.

Can't you just root for a man that has coached a team for 30 years, just once? It's his dream to make it to the Final Four just once. How can you not root for that?

I'm gonna have to go out on a limb here...

1.) UVA, JHU, UNC, Duke.
2.) JHU wins the championship over UNC.
3.) Danowski wins the Teewarton
4.) UNC will surprise this year, but I could also see Towson shocking everybody this year as well.

1)
4) Cornell cuz they are definatly looking good
I agree that cornell looks good, but they wouldnt be a surprise, Cornell is a storied program with consistantly good teams. And to add one idea, Ohio State, may be a big surprise, they have a lot of transfers and return a lot of talent to the team that wasnt bad last year. Also watch out for Albany, Fairfield, and UMBC.
