if you are actually going to use them for running then dont get either of those and get asics (wide feet) or brooks (narrow feet)

You can get nike shoes that have both. The nike free running shoes are nice.

I had the air max', they are pretty good shoes, though they do not last long. Mine lasted 3-4 races. Friend of the teams lasted maybe 10-12 races. They are excellent why they last at least. I now just run in a light weight training shoe by asic for races.

I wear Shox right now, and arc support is bleh, and my coach said they aren't very good for running. Most kids have Asics (sp?).

Well, some people wear asics. I would say the majority do not for races, as asic does not really make a race shoe. They make some very good training shoes, a few of which can be used as a race shoe. The Air Max's are quite comfortable, just not durable from what I have seen.

I think you have that backwards...Brooks are for larger framed individuals and Asics are pure running shoes. Though I think you can order asics in wide sizes.
I would get Air over shox any day of the week. The shox never did much and I ended up giving them to my brother after a 2 weeks because my heels were killing me.
I have the adidas gigarides right now and I wish I had a pair of the newer asics instead. I'm partial to the Nimbus, but since they raised the price a few years back I haven't used them.

I would get air just because if you plan on doing any cutting in shox, the shox can actually collapse and your ankle will just be sprained like you never thought possible.

if you want to get new balances again, the zips are incredible. i had a pair of adidas (i dont know the name, they had like the 2 blue shock things on the outside and three on the inside) and they killed my feet, i ran 4 miles in em one day and went to run in em again the next and couldnt. i got the zips last nigth and did 2 miles in em today plus some pick up basketball...they were soo comfortable. theyre also breatheable and lightweight. cheaper than shox too.

I wouldn't base your choice on any common myth. Try both shoes you showed intrest in, and then a few more to just to make sure you are purchasing what you want. I have never been an asic man before I bought the Ds-Trainer 6's.

I wouldn't suggest Shox, I have a few pairs and love them to death, but I do not consider them a solid running shoe. Definately go with Asics if you're looking for a good running shoe. I use Asics for volleyball and I also have another pair for running and they're really comfortable and have good support.

NEVER BUY NIKE SHOES!!!!
Terrible quality, they will fall apart 3x faster than NBs Adidas, you name it.

Is there a running shoe for people with huge feet? I have trouble finding shoes for my 13.5 feet.

I believe Air Max is the better running shoe. Nike Shox tend to be heavy and they will alter your running style.
If you have big feet. NEW BALANCE
IF you want to try something different. Ascis or Brooks.
Dont buy addidas or reebok running shoes.

Buy what you feel best with... Some things better with other people. Learn about the product, try it on, then decide.

I love my asics. They fit my feat perfectly and have been lasting me a while. The Air Max's were nice, I did not like how quickly they fell apart for me and a teamate. Try on the shoes your considering and a few others to make sure, do a little research, and you should find the right shoe, reguardless of reputation or brand.

If you are going to run in them, stay away from the shox. Most likely, you heel strike, and the shox part of the shoe is very unstable. You are more likely to sprain your ankle this way. Besides, the shox just aren't good for running in general.
