OK i searched and couldnt find the info i was looking for. I have a Triad XP2 and was wanting to look into a cascade helmet b/c i think they are cooler and more popular. i like hte adjustablility of the Triad and how i can make it super tight after i put it on. I have a big head and have trouble getting on most helmets b/c i also have glasses so i like how i can loosen the triad to make my fat head fit then tighten it so it doesnt move. i was wondering if cascade had the same adjustablility. im no too into the 3 pad sizes. can you loosen and tighten cascade helmets like witht the triad xp2? please answers only from people who have seen both types of helmets.

the cpx padding has a pad for a large head...i have a semi large head with thick hair and it fits well with the medium pad and the large pad...i liked the xp when i tried it...and i also like the system it has. if your into switchin companies, get the cpx. but if you want somethin similar, i liked the triumph fitting.

or if your helmet fits fine and you really like the way it works just keep it. and triads are WAY cooler than cascades

there are a lot of problems with Triads, but poor vision isnt one of them.
ive switched to a CPX now, i like it, but it doesnt come close to the vision of the Triad

so does the triad have better adjustability compared to the cascade helmets?

no joke.
how much time have you spent playing in a triad?
after 4 seasons in a triad and 2 in CPX, i like the CPX better, but the triad's vision was the best of any helmet ive worn in more than 25 years of playing lacrosse

Get the Cascade, Triad protection is dubious at best.
I just recently watched a rec league goalie wearing a Triad take a shot off the facemask.
Result - Goalie's forehead was split open and pissing blood all over the place. The shot had some zip on it, but it was really just an underhanded snap of the wrists.....nowhere near 90 MPH.
Now, I have never seen this kind of head damage with any other type of lacrosse helmet or hockey goal helmet despite seeing several goalies brained with overhanded lasers.
Bottom line - I will never wear a Triad, nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

the triad has a better fit, because you can adjust it AFTER its on your head, but i have to agree with rockstar, i love the vision in the triad, but the protection is why i'm wearing the CPX now.

Didn't the Triad have a notorious problem with shattering when contact was made? The Triumph is supposed to fix it.

thats why they took the xp3 off the market about 2 months after it was produced...they found a weak spot around the forehead area that wasnt holding up well...they didnt fix it in time for last season, so they produced the triumph during the off season...hint - triumph: they TRIUMPHed over their problems with the xp3
