I need help with my 3rd gen 15 gig ipod.

k, so i just received my 3rd gen 15 gig i pod from am17 today, but im having some problems. None of my friends really have i pods, so i dont know much about them. MY sisters boyfriend came ver with his charger and so i plugged it into the usb port in my comp for probobly 2 hours. But when i place my fingers on the middle two buttons, it wont turn on, (i was told it turns on when the two middle buttons have your fingers on them) im fairly sure that the battery is dead, but wouldnt at least an hour and a half be enough time to atleast start it? well, thanks for your time.

if not, soft reset it.

you need a wall charger, thats why the 3rd gen ipod came with the wall charger. You need to go out and buy one or get one from a friend
