Sorry, I wasn't sure about where to put this since it concerns both men and women.
Rollins College, in Winter Park, FL, is planning on adding both a men's and women's DII team in the 2007-2008 season. Here's the article: http://rollinssports.athleticsite.com/article.asp?articleID=599
Rollins is a great, small, liberal arts college in a great part of central Florida. This is really exciting for me, and I'm sure it is for many others.

Man, we all thought that Eckerd was next in line for getting the 2nd team in Florida. At least we have a close away game (possibly) my senior year.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. But I've been hearing rumors about Rollins starting a program for the past couple months. I'm really excited about this, because I've been having doubts about going out of state for school. Even though the level is higher out ouf state, I'd still rather stay here.

I find it kind of funny how they're all "Don't bother contacting us if you don't have good stats" when they're going to try to throw together a roster in February.

Yeah I got the e-mail about Rollins a couple of days ago too Aaron. I don't think I have the grades to go to Rollins though... well it doesn't hurt to try I guess. I'll try applying and contacting their coaches.

Read the article before you ask a question, please.
And no, there are no coaches yet. They'll be hiring coaches this spring.

On the recruiting questionnaire, in bright red where it asks for your stats.

Wow, yeah, I mean it is all for all their sports but that is rather pretentious none the less.

No, they're using this year as a recruiting year. 07-08 will be the first year in full swing. They don't even have a coach yet.
Also, that's college athletics for you. It's not like high school, where everyone makes the team.
