need math help fast!

ok i have a huge project due tomorow and yea i havent started but dont lecture me on that trust me ive heard it enough from my friends gf. :nofear: i have to construct geometrical objects and i need a compass but i kinda forgot the compass in a friends locker so i need ideas for a makeshift compass, i kno this is pretty stupid but any suggestions would be appreciated

This is probably stupid, but it's the best I got, if you have a wooden ruler, drill holes in it (the size of a pencil) how ever many inches you need the circle to be, stick a pencil in each hole, and that should do it.

yea i have a metal ruler with a hole in 1 side but there are 3 probs with it. first of all i need multiple lengths this is a huge complicated project the second problem with it is its metal and i figure itll slide easy and third its metal so i dont think i can alter it much

ok, I have one more suggestion, go to the store, and buy a new compass.

well since you need many holes and certain measurements why don't you just go out and buy one? they're not very expensive and most stores aren't closed.

lol i am a freshman and i cant drive yet and i didnt tell my dad about this project so if i cant figure out a way to get around asking him to go get a compass for me i am just gonna turn it in late on monday because its not worth making him mad

You can't make a new compass. Go to the local Wal-Mart and buy a new one. They're cheap.
