Long Island Express tryouts

im in 10th and this is my first year trying out for express, or any long island team for that matter. i was wondering if anyone has played for express and can say a little bit about it

my team played them in a tourney and lost to them...i dont know the details but im pretty sure the cuts just move you down to another team b/c there was a white, blue, and orange team

when are the tryouts and do they have a winter team?

for 10th grade the first tryout is this sunday, then the second is the following sunday. i think this takes place after the season if u make it, nothing in the winter. but if u do want to tryout go to the site, register, and u gotta pay 30 bucks for each try out. does anyone know if there are actually a lot of cuts or do u just get moved down like meRattack said....

I know a few kids that play and each team that I played had mabey 19-20 kids each. Iv'e played the express before and the only good express team that I played was orange. blue and white weren't bad but they weren't anything special. It really depends on how many kids try out.

im in 10th and this is my first year trying out for express, or any long island team for that matter. i was wondering if anyone has played and knows what to expect in detail. also, are there a lot of cuts for it? i would assume there is but i know a couple kids in 9th grade that have played for 1 or 2 years that arent anything special. theres absolutely no one in my grade who has played for them so thats why im postin the thread. i know there are several teams for each grade depending on your skill level but still it must be pretty hard. basically im looking for opinions from kids who have played for express and if it was worth all that money(i think its $1200 this year if u make it) and how "picky" they are with players.

nope, the oldest kids posted are 9th graders, i know that for a fact. check again, its class of 2010 thats the oldest.

im not positive, but i would think you have to attend both try outs. you can go, maybe if your amazing they will try and make room for you, but idk
