Geez, this is crazy now that he's banned from track for a while he's going to try football!

Yeah, track stars can't do football. The can run in a straight line, but they aren't able to cut fast.

Reggie Bush ran track in high school and was going to run at usc but he was so good at football they didn''t want him injured. Also Santana Moss went to Miami on a track scholarship, seems like he can cut pretty well.

Yeah, I'm sure they cant cut when running a 9.8 100m pace, but you gotta think, if they are THAT fast and that strong, I'm sure they can run and cut faster than most football players.

wow thats pretty crazy. I don't really see him succeeding in the NFL.
Do you know what position he is going to play?

I heard wide reciever.
Anyway even though he probably can't cut at a 9.8 100m pace he probably could cut running faster than anybody in the NFL. For that matter probably anyone in the world.

That would be insane if he turns out to get sign and he has good hands.

the texans already said theyre not signing him and no other teams are planning on signing him anytime soon so this is kind of a pointless thread

Frankly, I find your post shallow and podantic.

There have been a # of sprinters to become good recievers. OJ was a sprinter and became an ok running back, only the first 2000 yard season.

I'm not sure the Texans have anything to lose by signing him...
Think about him in the open field and the number of yards after the catch he can rack up. He would break away from the secondary like it ain't no thing.

i was watching this mini olympics thing held in Germany or something and Justin Gatlin was in it. he ended up running a 9.89 or something around that. they broke it down, and figured that his first 40 yards out of the blocks took him 3.8 seconds. they also said that with a running start, he can go from the 50 yard line of a football field to the endzone in less than 3 seconds. could you imagine if he caught a ball on the opposite 35, and by the time he hit the 50 he was going full speed. within 3 seconds he scored.

He should play Arena Football then.
P.S. That's probably without pads or a helmet on. That extra weight slows you down some.
still.... i dont think theres a nfl'er that can run the 40 in 4.0 seconds

Wow they should just give it to him on a reverse or a deep ball and tell him to run like hell. No one would catch him.

Deion Sanders ran the 40 in just under 4 I believe. Texans said they wont sign him this season, but maybe he will be signed and become a good ball player next season.

He ran under 4.0 at a non combine event once. Haha, yeah, I wouldn't run the 40 after deion.
