recruiting question

i'm currently a sophmore and first of all i was wondering if coaches are allowed to talk to sophmores. Also i just got an invatation to top 205 and as far as i know my coach did not ask for an invation for me or anyone one my team. My question is do you think a team that say me at the IAS showcase could have invited me to 205 to see me play? Also i recived a email asking me to attend a camp for a specific college could this mean anything? I know its a little earlier to think about this but answer would be apreciated.

Coaches cannot contact you with emails and recruiting materials(with the exception of questionaires) until September 1st of your junior year.

Congrats on the invitation, unfortunitaly I don't know much about that camp. But I would say that attending the showcase may have been a factor. The showcase is for recruiting afterall.

The email was probably a mass email sent out from a previous camp/tournament you entered. I'd wait for lilaxgurl to clarify but I don't believe a coach can email you directly information about their camp until September 1st. I know there is a thread on this somewhere...

Email was most likely a mass email, I agree with that. As for it not being allowed, I'm not positive, it might be like the questionnaire where it's one of those things they can send out early. Not too positive, but the OP can look it up for himself if he wishes on the NCAA.org site. Good luck (I agree with everything else laxfolife said. The information about the camp has most likely been talked about before, search around)!
