As some of may or may not know I recently know I made a post in the Classified Section Rules Thread. In it I stated and warned you all about the new warning system made. I have already started to freely give out warnings if these simple rules are broken. Like Orange said, for your sake I suggest you follow the rules. I am stealing some of this from Orange now...He doesn't know so SHH ! :nahya:
Make Sure You :
* Read the stickies
* No cursing, if I see **** your post gets deleted and you get warning points
* No double posting, use the edit button
* No bumping threads continuously within the 48 hour period
* No posts that require "extra words"
* No AIM speak, spell check your posts
* Keep your signature legal
* Use the Correct naming scheme
* No Ebay links when selling
* No selling receipts
* No selling recorded videos with the intent of making a profit.
* List your price of the item(s)
* No hijacking other people's threads.
* Thank you to all of the moderators/admins that I have recieved this information from to compile this rule list.
Naming Scheme to be used:
[FS] - For Sale
[FT] - For Trade
[WTTF] - Wanting To Trade For
[WTB] - Wanting To Buy
These are the four basic, but you can also combine them such as this:
[FS/FT] - For Sale/For Trade
[WTB/WTTF] Wanting To Buy/ Wanting To Trade For
A few more helpful tips:
In your thread make sure you:
A. State the condition
- Brand New(BN), Like New(LN), Great Condition, or Good Condition.
- If it is cracked or broken, make sure you state it.
B. If at all possible provide pictures, if brand new, not that necessary.
C. State your price, it is a rule.
D. State what you are looking for as far as trades.
A few helpful links.

Threads will be auto-deleted after 30 days to help keep the clutter to a minimum.

New Addition. For now on when you would like a thread name changed you must do the following:
1. Link us to the thread, do not just say, "hey can you change my title from [FS] gloves to [FS] More Gloves" It just makes our duty that much harder on locating your thread.
2. Give us a proper thread title with all naming schemes included. Make the title clear and understandable.
Active Thread Rules:
You may only have two active threads. If you had 2 before December 4th you are fine, but if you have two right now and make a new one, you're breaking the rules. If you have more than two threads and you want to make a new one either:
A. PM a FS/WTB mod to have them change the title of a current thread
OR
B. PM a FS/WTB mod to lock one of your two threads, so you may start a new one.
Bumping Rules:
There has been confusion over bumping threads and the rules are now clearer: You need to wait for 48 hours of inactivity in your thread to bump it. Not 48 hours after your last bump.
If your post has nothing constructive that contributes to the thread, it may be considered a bump. Even though it doesn't say bump, it can still be ruled a bump. So stop making worthless posts just to take your thread to the top.
Spam
Ah the dreaded spam. Yes there has been an over abundance of spam lately, but technically it is a good thing. It shows that our community is growing larger and larger, and the more "hits" that we get the more spam that will come along with it. So I am asking you for now on that when you see spam DO NOT POST IN THAT THREAD ! This request/rule applies to every forum. If you post in a spam thread that just means the spammers job is being done because you know people are going to click it. Let it float to the bottom or let the mod team delete it as fast as possible. Make sure that you report it though.

Warning!
Please remember that creating and selling patented items on these forums is illegal! You could be sued for patent infringement.
You must understand that abuse could lead to legal action being taken place by the patent owner. Respect people who have invented things which improve the sport of lacrosse by following the patent laws. If it weren't for patents we would not have as many improvements in lacrosse.
I want to specifically remind you that stringing Rock-It Pockets and selling them on the FS/WTB forums is illegal. The Rock-It Pocket is protected by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. For more information please visit: http://www.uspto.gov/
Here is an email excerpt from the General Manager of Rock-It Pocket:
Flip Naumburg created and patented the Rock-it Pocket and values his creative integrity and professional livelihood very much. To be clear, we don't care if posters display their own versions of the Rock-it Pocket on your site for others to check out and comment on. We don't even care if posters are re-selling our pocket on your site (though I don't know who would buy one since it won't have a warranty and probably will cost more than getting it from us directly anyway). But it will be a problem if posters continue to offer a Rock-it Pocket (or "Mock-it Pocket" or any other derivative thereof) that they have personally strung for sale.

Beware !
Yes, I'm talking about YOU cyclone, or should I say:
1. Purplelaxer
2. CyCloneLaXer17
3. J*Hood
4. LongStickLaxer
5. Jordan
w/e
You are hereby suspended from selling ANYTHING on TLF until you get all your pending transactions out and confirmed.
You have ripped off enough respected members and moderators here on TLF and the Moderating staff will not have you doing it to anybody else.
You tried to be my friend before and beg for mercy in the bad sellers list... you even tried to sweet talking me into putting you in the good sellers HOF. This is the last straw and there will be no recognition for you anymore except of this thread and this thread only.
If Mr. Jordan or Cyclone or Purplelaxer or J*hood or aoweirja;woiejra;owerji has wronged you in the present or in the past in any way then let me know and I will add you to the "I got wronged" list on this post.
This thread stays closed for now because I will not give Jordan or cyclone or purplelaxer or oawij;era;owieru;oawiueraw3u423 the opportunity to plead his case because it has been determined through due process of law that his arguement is a load of crap.
BTW Jordan or purplelaxer of cyclone or j*hood, you will also recall that posting under several usernames along with posting profane and racial terms are forbidden on TLF as well. I've been around a long time so don't try to tell me what you have or have not done in the past.
Do not diminish the integrity of TLF and Inside Lacrosse by bringing your filth here.
my final word: DO NOT DO ANY DEAL WITH THIS GUY EVER! HIS NAME IN REAL LIFE IS JORDAN AND HE POSTS UNDER THE AFOREMENTIONED USERNAMES...

Mail Fraud F.A.Q.
_____________________
:: How To File For Mail Fraud ::
Are you a victim of online fraud, or think you are a potential victim due to a single person or a company? Well, you have come to the right place to see what you can do to get your item/money back from the thieves.
:: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ::
1. I think I have been ripped off. What should I do?
Go to any of the mail fraud sites listed below to file a complaint. I suggest filing for as many as you can.
2. When should I file for mail fraud?
If you have sent out numerous e-mails regarding your payment being received and/or item being sent and never received the item/e-mail within a 15-20 days from the date you shipped the item/payment, send out ONE LAST e-mail informing them that you will take action if they do not respond to your e-mails. If after 2-3 days of no response, start to file for mail fraud. The faster you file the mail fraud, the faster you will get what is owed to you.
3. The other party responds to my e-mails, but keeps giving me excuses and/or the run around. What should I do?
It's more than likely they just trying to buy more time. If they reply to your e-mails but keeps telling you that it will be shipped soon, over and over, notify them that you will be filing for mail fraud. File for mail fraud as soon as possible. Especially with PayPal and their 30-day policy (see FAQ #6). If you keep on letting them buy more time, they'll just keep giving you that same answer over and over until either the PayPal 30-day complaint is over, or if you forget about it and give up trying to get the item.
4. What do I need when I file a complaint?
Most of the time it's a win-win situation if you have most, if not all of the following..
You will need the following contact information of the other party:
Name
Address
Phone Number (if available)
You will need any of the following proof and/or evidence: (the more the better)
Email and/or Instant Message conversations
Proof of shipment of item
Proof of payment (Credit Card Bill, Check Statements, PayPal, Receipts, etc.)
5. I paid for something online with a credit card, money order, check or cash and I never received the item. What should I do?
If you paid with credit card, notify the credit card company, and inform them of the situation. Tell them you want to dispute the charge, and they will investigate.
If you paid with a money order, you can go back to the place you bought the money order from or call the number that is on the receipt stub from the money order and have them do a 'stop payment'. What 'stop payment' does is, it prevents the person from cashing it in. But if the money order has been cashed already, there is nothing that can be done, unless you file for mail fraud. Also, the receipt stub that was on the money order can also be used as proof of payment, as well as proof of them cashing it when they track the money order.
If you paid with a check, its similiar to a money order. You can do a 'stop payment'. If the check has been cashed, there is nothing that can be done, unless you file for mail fraud. If the check has been cashed, you can ask your bank for a bank statement concerning the check. This will be used as proof that the person cashed your check.
If you paid in cash, this will be harder as there is no proof/receipt that you sent it. So, send at your own risk.
6. I ordered something online using PayPal. What should I do?
PayPal's policy is that, you have 30-days to file a complaint. If after 30-days, you are out of luck. If you have not received a response and/or item within 20-days, file a complaint with PayPal. If by any chance, you do receive the item, you can cancel the complaint with PayPal. If the other party is at fault, PayPal will recover whatever money is owed to you, IF the money is in the other party's account. If there is no money in the account, there is nothing that can be done unless you used your credit card on PayPal to pay for the item (see FAQ #5).
*added info by MUGETSU_DJ.Ace*
Beware of Paypal. People can also do a chargeback on you if they use a credit card to buy your stuff. They can take back their money and keep your stuff, without even really explaining why.
7. Does there have to be a certain value before I can file for mail fraud?
No. It's not the cost and/or value of the item, inorder for you to file for mail fraud. It's the principle. You can file for mail fraud whether your lost or the item costs, $5.00, $100.00, or even $1,000.00. Mail fraud is a crime and a federal offense. Legal action can be taken against the the other party if they are found guilty if they do not return what is owed to the respectful ower.
*added info by MUGETSU_DJ.Ace* Even filing complaints sometimes won't help at all, unless a significant amount of people are frauded.
But of course, you should try and see anyways.
8. When is it a good time to send out an item once I have received payment from buyer via PayPal?
There have been instances where a seller has sold an item (most of the time expensive items) to a buyer, whether it be a hard to find game, cellphone, systems, electronics, etc., and a couple days later, the payment was reversed. Most of the time, the payment is reversed due to stolen credit cards, stolen bank account information or just plain scam.
Most sellers ship the item the next day after receiving the payment. Its good to be quick on shipping, but its also bad. If the payment was a scam/reversed, it takes PayPal 1-day to find out, email you and reverse the payment (2 days max..but rarely). Once payment is reversed, PayPal will do an investigation to see if it indeed was a fraudulent payment. If you're lucky to read the email before it is sent out, than you've saved yourself from losing an item. If not, and the package is already on the way to the scammer, go back to the place where you shipped the package and request it back do to an investigation and fraudulent payment.
Best suggestion is to:
Ship item 2-3 business days after you have received the payment. This will give you enough time to see if there is problems with the payment.
Overseas countries are places to watch out for. Those are where most scammers are located and are hard to get back your item once its shipped. Some countries are:
Singapore
Lithuania
Malaysia
also Africa
Send package with Delivery Confirmation. This will show the tracking of the package, proof of shipment and proof of arrival to buyer. This is a major factor when it comes to providing proof of shipment.
9. I have a question but its not mentioned above. Can you help me?
Sure. Just post your question and I will gladly try to help you answer any of your questions you might have.
(well I'll just ask the person for it)

well if you say neame a price, ten people spam the thread and offer 1$ or stupis stuff like that. If you put a price, then people get an idea of what your looking for.

Example post
"BN Evo pro-Strung with hard mesh....I'd let it go for $75 OBO."
Meaning. If No one offers the asked 75 dollars. You'd sell it the the best offer you get.

Okay for the past....ok since the beginning of my time as a mod I have never been a stickler for backseat modding, but it is a rule and I should start to enforce it. So for now on when there is a problem with a thread do not post in the thread telling them that they have to change something. It is their fault for not knowing the rules in the first place so their thread will be closed. We will take care of the situation. This is a fair warning, if i see it only happen a few times I will just give alerts. If there starts to be an over abundance of posts like this I will be more than happy to give out warnings.

For now on when I close a thread it will be your duty as the user to read the rules and find out what you have done wrong. You will then PM myself or another Fs/Wtb Forum Mod and tell us what you have done and how you can fix it.

there is no way to enforce that beacuse technically TLF is not rsponsibly for what happens in the FS/WTB Forum. i also get annoyed but i don't really care that much. and if a person does'nt respond to your pm's and you see he's been on, t probably means he's not interested
