if there were to be a east side vs. west side high school lacrosse game who do you think would win and why? I think my side, east side, would win because i think there is more experience and has a lot of powerhouse schools all up the coast.

East coast hands down. There is not nearly as great a volume of talent on the west as on the east. your talking about generations of players — guys whos dads put sticks in their hands before they could walk. The west simply doesnt have a tradition in lacrosse, therefore they dont see as many quality coaches and they also don't see as many players strictly devoted to the sport. Take a look at how many D1 schools are on the east vs the west. And then look at the high schools where all those guys played. 90% of legit college players come from the same 5 or 6 states, and those states are all in the north east. Now in defense of the west — give it about 20 years and you won't be able to tell much of a difference. It just takes time to fully expand the sport. But for sake of argument lets just take McDonogh and La Costa Canyon. McDonogh has been a top 5 national HS team year in and year out, and La Costa Canyon is one of the only California teams to schedule games with any top tier schools from MIAA or the other big east divisions. Well, while McDonogh actually holds competitive games with other big name schools like Boys Latin and Georgetown Prep (currently MD's #1,2, and 3 on laxpower), La Costa gets ripped to shreds. The scores dont show it to the fullest, as they only lost to Boys Latin by like 8 goals, but anyone who was there would tell you that BL pulled starters at halftime. There really isn't any comparison at the moment — but like I said, give it a few years and the west will catch up... Lacrosse is growing in California, Oregon, Wash, and Texas at an immensely fast rate, so its only a matter of time.

East Coast would win...they are just more consistent players. All though West Coast Starz went 4-1 against east coast teams at UMass.

It is a toss up. I'm not saying this because I live on the west coast (I lived on the east coast for longer) But because he said the best of the west and the best of the east. Now of course an east coast normal high school team should beat a west coast high school team, due to depth. But if you pick the best 25 kids from both sides it would be a close game.
