It's pretty much right during hockey season. We play from September to Febuary but usually don't play a lot during December or January due to weather.

Dont pay attention to what BClax say's, he is a lucky one that has nicer weather to play in.
For the younger kids they start up in the spring and play for about 8 weeks. Let me look around for you and i will find you a link.
OK i found this from our website.............http://www.ontariofieldlacrosse.com/OMFLL/
The Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse League (OMFLL) has proposed a change to the season time for its league. Currently the OMFLL runs its season from late April to late May. The league and its member clubs have experienced difficulty in securing fields for practice and play.
The OMFLL is proposing a change of season to August thru mid-September for all divisions except Midget, which would remain in May.
The OMFLL season would be finished early September in the Novice, Peewee and Bantam divisions. The Midget Division would be a shortened season, starting mid-May and running until the first weekend in June. Games in the Midget division would play both Saturday and Sunday, as well as some mid-week games for teams of close proximity.

Hey boxdad - I am pretty sure that both Whitby & Clarington minor require players to sign with a rep box team to play on the field teams. That is, players that make the 1 or 2 rep teams also play on the minor field teams. You may want to check with either association.
Clarington - http://www.claringtonlacrosse.ca/phpnuke/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=2
Whitby - http://www.whitbyminorlacrosse.com/wmla_news.php?div=6
Essentially, new players living east of Simcoe in Oshawa would go to Clarington, while those west of Simcoe play in Whitby. But don't quote me on that...
Both associations offered 'fall ball' field lacrosse this year however, more of a house league set-up. I believe Whitby played 7v7 while Clarington played 10v10 where numbers warranted.
From my understanding all Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse will be played in the spring this year (2007) as in other years. This was the news from the recent AGM. However, until the SAGM in March, there is still some time to change.

I emailed Ron at Ontfieldlacrosse and he sent to someone in
in Whitby Minior.
Is there a house legue level for field?
My sons only have one season under their belts
and wouldnt make rep. They both love the game(box)
and are crazy about it.
I missed the boat on fall ball.I asked about more
lacrosse field or box at a couple of sports shops
and they didnt know about the fallball.
It must be a well kept secret. One shop
is a Lacrosse only shop and they did not know.
Thanks to all and hopefully Ill get them more lacrosse.

There currently isn't any house league level for field in the spring, just the fall. Some local high schools have spring field lacrosse if you kids are that age.

Boxdad,
To play the spring field it IS rep in Clarington and Whitby, you must make one the 1st 2 rep box teams and then you automatically become the field rep teams HOWEVER the Clarington association ran a fall(late summer) field house league that ANYONE could join. They had ALL age groups from tyke up and it wasn't residency restricted ie: Whitby kids played in it too. The head honcho was Rodney Braun... you may be able to locate him thru the Gaels web site and give it a try next summer.
