This is my first attempt at traditional stringing, I think I got the hang of things. I disregarded the advice from my last post (http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5926&highlight=first+mesh+stringing) because I thought I had done well with mesh and wanted to move on, and this was the next step. Let me know what you guys think, pictures are on their way!

All feedback is welcome,
Weirc

edit: used neon green clips because had trouble cutting slits in leathers -_-
question: How should i tie off the leathers so they don't slip, and should i loosen the leathers to break it in like it is/more?
thanks!

no :( i'll try to get some up tonight/tommorow. It's a shallowish pocket, not broken in a particular place, but not super shallow

looks awesome espcially considering its your first traditional stringing. Ive never strung trad and i dont know how but im sure if i did it wouldnt be quite as good as that.

it's good, but i think you should make the laces interlock because you may have a problem with consistency and form.

Great job :agree

Warriorlax is right about the interlocking though. Look at:

http://www.lax.com/stories/1159

This shows you how to do it. Look especially at pics 4.8 and 4.17 to see the interlocking.

i don't know what you mean by interlocking laces, could you expand? also, how are some good ways of breaking in trad.?

the crosslace is threaded thru the opposite crosslace when it meets at the leathers. ie. if you were to take the leathers out the crosslace would be looped together. see the diagram here:

great job for a first try tho. you can use a flatbladed screw driver and a hammer to make the slit in the leather, but put it over a block of wood so you arent going to destroy whatevers under the leather

looks like it would throw off the plastic.

nope :) the top shooter is verry tight , and the other shooter is relatively tight, doesnt hit the plastic at all
