I took a quick look and didn't see anything so I thought I'd post.

I agree with all of the new rules exept one. Well, not so much that I don't agree with it as I don't understand how it is going to work.

"The league has also expanded the definition of what constitutes illegal cross-checking. The definition now includes any cross-checking of a player who is not in possession of the ball. The new rules also ban all forms of Checking from Behind."

When they say cross-checking a playing without the ball, do they mean the players may use a cross-check as we use in Canada or just flat out no touching the player? If they are still allowed to use a push, that's fine as long as it's inforced like it is in Canada, but if you can't even push the player..... I will be very dissapointed. I've always seen that rule as more of a tool the refs can use to take control of a game that's starting to get out of hand. If the call every little push, the game will lose a lot of it's flow. The fast pace and smooth flow of the game is one of the best things lacrosse and the NLL have going for them right now. It would be a mistake to mess with that.

i dont want NLL to become like the new NHL where you touch the guy and get a penalty. That will really take away from the game. I say let the guy play but done let it get out of hand.....just like in summer box.

The "Swish" rule on goals from behind the net is stupid as there is no way to ensure that a referee can consistently call this correctly

-The goal line only runs between the posts, so is more than six feet away from the shooter's feet.....How can you clearly decide whether the shooter was "behind the net" or not?

-Many times, it's really, really tough to clearly rule on whether the ball glanced off the goalie or his stick before it entered the goal.

Have to see the real wording in the rulebook, before deciding for sure, but I think that without video replay, there are going to be tonnes of blown calls on this one.
