What are the pros/cons of soft/med/hard mesh?
or monster mesh?
I see the field guys have all sorts of set ups
but box is pretty much just mesh.

acttualy customs( traditional and variants) are more common in box lacrosse due to the unchangeing conditions. in field its hard to maintain a leather pocket due to weather whereas in box since its indoors the maintainence is rather low. soft mesh has no valued aspects to most poeple as the pocket tends to go where ever the ball is and is usually very inconsistant. semi hard gives you some of the benefits that hard does but its incompases all of the flaws of soft. Hard mesh is IMO the best mesh to use because you can break it in and it holds the pockets integrity better it also allows the smothest release, all it takes is a palm full of conditioner/shampoo/shaving cream and about 10 minutes of pounding and the mesh softens up quite nicely.

Ive only seen mesh in box.No leather apart from one Brooklin Redman player. He uses old sckool wood stick, every one else has mesh.Dont see traditional ,dont see rocket pockets,or any other crazy custom stinging.I thought that was all field stuff.
Back to mesh the guy at my local sports store was selling me on soft mesh and was
saying it out sells the others by far.So using that reasoning soft must be the way to go.Also what is the advantage of a leather top string or is that just a "Canadian thing".

Ive seen a few guys with Trad but most just use mesh and im sure its the same mesh pocket that came with the stick. I know ive never gone out and bought just the stringing kit.
Takes a while to break in but when it works it just works.
