I think everyone got the ECC college letters. I went to the Brown Challenge Camp last year. It was great, I highly recommend the camp.. However, the Challenge Camp is being moved to Trinity that SAME date 11-14th both claiming to be recruiting camps. So... Ultimately, it is your choice. In my opinion the competition at the Challenge Camp consisted of a lot of rising Juniors and Sophomores.. So, for Rising seniors that left a lot more attention from coaches. If you're lucky enough they have college representatives as coaches that accompany you throughout the whole camp.. Now, if it will hold true this year I am not sure. Try and emailing coaches that YOU want to "impress" and find out where they're going for the summer and base your camps around them... Not on invitations because a camp is a camp...

I got that Showcase letter in the mail.

Is it worth going to? Do many college (DI, DIII) attend?

i think i'll be attending this camp this year, the idea of splitting teams into rregions seems pretty cool. Can anyone tell me anything about this

Yea man, It's split up into regions but for the most part it's kinda all over the place.. Like Team CT has some kids from NJ but it's basically the same thing as team blue, red, white, but with states. The great thing about the camp is that the coaches there are the coaches of your team.. You can get lucky and get the head coach of a school you're looking at.. Or maybe opt to be on the team i'm not sure how that works though. It's worth it man..

Brown camp has great reputation, and I think Lars will do nothing but improve it. He is committed to the sport and Brown, and a good leader. What can you lose?

The Trinity coaches wanted me to come to the Challenge one at Trinity. Seems decent, but mostly D3 coaches.

bkball, I did a fall program at Trinity with Nutmeg lacrosse coached by the Trinity coach, and he is a good guy, a good coach, and very up front about the recruiting process. He's not shy or bashful about talking about recruiting desires (both players and coaches). This would seem to be helpful at a camp for recruiting.
