i think offside hip has got to be the hardest save to make for most people.

I hate off side shots where i can't decide to go from above or below, and my reaction is sloppy.
off hip or any off side bouncers.. if the people are shooting from the side (so then I'm off to the side too to cover the angle)
I'm small and it takes me a while to stretch across to the other side of the goal..

Any corner pinging shots, mostly because Im too short to get there quickly. Im like 5' 5'' so I cant exactly cover up the whole goal.

Strange enough for me I love when people shoot off him or offside in generl I just don't have much difficulty getting over there and generally make more saves there than people say I shood. But my biggest weakness is when the ground is soft and the ball doesn't bounce and they shoot low stick side and it looks like its bouncing but it stays down. I always get down but im never down far enough and I hate it.

the hardest ones for me to save aren't necesarily on one part of the goal, but a certain type of shot, like when the shot is screened by well meaning, but inneffective D so you don't see the ball until its too late, i hate that.
other than that, i just don't like it when the ball goes straight at your stomach cause even though its easy to block, it handcuffs you and controlling the rebound is tricky

probably off stick side high, i such at those, i hesatate at deteremening wether to go over or all the way through and up, sometimes i wont hesatate, ill make the wrong move and miss it by like a centemeter.

I also ca't stand skidding shotsthey get me everytime
The hardest for me to save, are probably Offside low, since I am never quick enough to get there in good position, so If I do get it, I usually end up giving up a rebound. The other hardest for me is stick side high, mostly because I always think no one has the balls to shoot it there, but I always get caught cheating to my off-stick side, and some new kid with no aim always ends up pinging that corner.

High bouce shots or the ones that don't bouce, they kinda roll. The worst is hip opposite stick side.

ima a player that likes to use my body. so its hard for me to get my body behind my stick with a stickside low shot. i tend to just get my stick there by sliding my hands. every other shot you body goes with your hands.

Shots right at my feet get me because I have a hard time getting down there that fast. Shots away and down at my feet don't give me a problem because I am able to throw my foot out there.

How many good low to high sub shots on a screen do you see..... seriously. I can count on my fingers the number of times I've seen decent sub shots when people are jsut messing around at practice, but in-game...?
I played goalie for a little and the low offside ones always got me, never got in the right spot fast enough. Offside hip really isnt that big of a deal, jsut use the body/hands right?

off-side hip is sort of hard, especially when you're starting out becuase decide whether to go over the top or under and around is hard. A moments indecision can cost the goal, so it can be a pain the in butt.
I really hate the ones that stay low, I never seem to get/keep my stick down low enough to smother them. Any tips for that?

definitely offside low. Have to move the farthest
is that really true though? obviously we have no idea of each others technique, but im going to assume that you are moving down when youre going for offside hip. with the full range of motion, offside low is definitely there before offside hip.
another reason for me that offside hip is so hard is that i rarely see it in game situations. i dont know whether it has to do with positioning or im just playing with poor shooters or what, but i dont see many shots there.
low shots are a chore for me but if i actually make that step towards the ball to get my body infront of it, i usually wilil make the save there. so have good anticipation, take that big step to not only get infront of the ball, but going forward a bit as well to cut it off and then get that stick down. make sure the head isnt leaning back towards you, focus on putting it down and opening it up as much as possible to make the save. hope that helps a bit.

Not the hardest but the coolest for me but i was playing goal since no one else wanted to so i had to go up against a varsity team and im on jv but anyways i stuffed (i think thats what you call it) like 3 people in like 5 minitues (sp?) It was like the only i really ever played goalie and did good! (we still lost our attack sux!!!)

definitely the hardest saves for me to make are the quality risers that pick corners. Not many people can do it well, but if you get a good shooter they can score at will

off-hip or off-high. I used to hate 5-hole, then I learned how to do the splits--

The hardest save for me to make is off high,i can save the off hips by just stepping in front of it and making it hit me. But im always afraid of getting hit up high.

The hardest for me to save for some reason are long pole shots. I think it has to do with the release point. It just throws me off.

Yeah, those kill me too. I have the horrible habit of not getting my stick all the way down, and alot of shots slip under my head.

Ones that bounce right on the crease line and bounce right up under the pipe, so you move down and then have to come back up with your stick. Those always kill me.

I don't play goalie for my team, but when I just play around with my friends, I can't stand any kind of bounce shots. They scare the sh*t out of me.

any time a guy is taking a sidearm shot from 10 feet away-unopposed
that freaks me out so bad, i usually get hit in the forearm or the thigh for some reason.
dont like 5 holes either, i find them hard to step at

the hardest is when your moving from one pipe to another and they shoot it to the pipe you just came from. ITs tough to stop your momentum

making a sweeping save off the offside hip is the best adrenaline rush ever...its my favorite save, i dont have much trouble with them...but the steep bounces that go low then real high and pin a corner always trick me up.
that and the low stick side shots
when someone shoots at your face though i sometimes hesitate caz i cant decide quick enough which foot to step with...haha

lol our goalie last year used to do that, he was good too, whenever a shot would come at his head, he would just put his head down and let the shot rocket off the top of his helmet, it was pretty funny

These arent the hardest shots to save, but I hate overhand shots that look like its gonna be a bounce shot and goes top shelf, because alot of people shoot overhand when they bounce it, but a little side arm when they go higher. It might sound really dumb but they are tricky.
