First try at 6D

Here's my first EVER attempt at stringing up some 6D. Just got my order from jima yesterday, stretched and conditionerized it at night, and strung it this morning. What surprised me was how much harder it is to form a pocket with this stuff. It's really different from my usual hard mesh. here are the pics...

that looks really good. i havent tried 6d. before but it looks awesome for a first try. and the colors are cool. oh and I love the low/mid pocket!!!

Nice job. The colors look good. And i find it intresting that you did channel knots all the way down the sidewall holes.

How broken in is it? I wanna do 6d or maybe even 5d again but everytime i try it stays stiff as hell and i dont like that. Hows it comming for you?

unfortunately, it was illegal. Even with the sidewalls as tight as they qwew, I couldn't get the pocket to shallow up. The only way to legalize it was to tighten the bottom string, so thats what I did.

PowPow - I just stretched it for about 20-30 min while watching tv. Then I used conditioner and that was the key to softening it up. Right now I'm likin how it throws and everything.

northshorelax3 - the mesh is kelly green and I think it looks sweet.

i got a big order from jima and I got some 7D as well. I'll be stringing that after I play with my 6D for a bit. I'll update or make a new thread when I do string it and tell you how it is.

looks pretty good. That pocket is an absolute beast, but its good you fixed it. I like 7D as well, definately post it up when you get a chance.

Good string job, but i always thought truths looked best with 10d
