Soemone ax'd about the gun on my desk in another thread...so I figured...why not see what anyone else who airsofts has?

I have a little P99 spring for my room......its like 250 fps. (heavyweight)

Gas M11 (MAC11)
I tweaked it a bit...shoots about 410, and i think its about 1200-1300 RPM on full auto.
(Weighs a ton...its like 90% metal)
It unloads a 51 Round clip in about 1.5-2 seconds.

i've had 3 springers that have broken, a berreta, p99, and usp. I currently have a working better berreta, and a shotgun. I've wasted alot money on this crap, but the mac11 is like my dream gas gun

I still play...With a bunch of 6-7-8th graders when I'm super bored, and I have yet to lose in an every man for himself match with them...In the last like 4 months.
I was shot like 3 times in team games.

None of them have any tactical skills...

It shoots hard right from the box, and its a realllllll heavyweight...like alot of metal and metal parts.


Sounds sweet...the metal stuff hitting together makes a loud sort of clank.
And full auto (the idea/sound) scares the hell out of people.

But...you'll go through SOOOOO many BB's when you first get it...

Yeah.

Mine came with the magnesium bolt. It adds to the loudness.

You know when you get hit if you're playing someone with a good/decent gun.

You can definately feel them...

Some people cheat and dont admit that they got hit...But, that's no fun.


I just wear a mask.
And if its hot...shorts and a t-shirt.
If its cold...Jeans and a hoody. With a hoody on, and playing someone with a gun under 250, you barely feel it.

honesty is key in airsoft since it leaves no marks, but you usally just wear a mask

I hope that M11 is a KSC. KWA is also acceptable but if it is niether that gun is breaking in atleast a month. I am into airsoft. havent played in a while but w/e. I have a ICS MP5 A4. I added a tightbore 6.03 barrel. new piston, gearbox, spring. And varius other things. I prefer AEG's to gas SMG's. I dont mind GBB's though.

EDIT: last time chronoed my mp5 was shooting 380.

I had the rubber piece pop off a few times, But I fixed it. Its no real problem to me.

ahh airsoft good memorys...my friend had a chicken coop on his farm, it wasnt a tiny one though, so we all played airsoft in there, its really fun with all the walls and windows, but the best airsoft is in someones basement or in a tight area or else the bb's dont hurt too much..

Alright I can't resist posting in here as I've recently been all over airsoft forums.

Let me start by telling those of you who don't know what airsoft is, is. Airsoft is a game that simulates combat, teams skirmish against each other using replica firearms that shoot BBs. Airsoft is NOT a bunch of neighborhood kids buying $15 springers and running around their backyards shooting at each other. If thats your idea of fun, please spare the airsoft community of your poor decision and buy a paintball gun. There are legal issues with airsoft and the last thing the community needs is a bad rep. [end rant]

I will be getting a Classic Army M15A4 CQB after Christmas, and from there my wallet size will continue to diminish. I wont bore you with details but let's just say that alot of airsofters can't resist spending more money on guns or gear.

Any other questions im sure Manup or Killman or myself would be glad to help in any way possible.

I paintball as well...
But, most paintball guns (legally on most fields) are under 300fps, right?

My airsoft gun shoots around 410fps (although I doubt it'd be legal in like a tournament or something). :rolling:

I have a g-26. It is very reliable and its the only gun i have. It shoots around 320 out of the box. It hurts when you get shot in the neck. Me and my friend were in my backyard one day and he wanted to see if he could dodge the bb's while jumping on the trampoline. He wasnt happy.

I'd start with a spring pistol/rifle. They are generally the cheapest and easiest to use.

When I was younger, 8-9th grade, my friend had a ton of guns. Pistols, autos, snipers, guns, rifles, you know. (He is well off). When his dad was out, we would get 5-6+ people together and have 'fights'. Nothing on his premises was off limits except the inside of the house. His house has a flat roof when access to it from a loft in the garage. We'd go up the ladder to the loft then to the roof and snipe from it. Then he has an rv we would climb into/onto and try to nail the guys on the roof. It was pretty sick, I havn't played in a long time, but typing this brings back the old desire...

Attackman, a good starting sniper is a MP0001 or whatever from evike or airsoftgi.com.
Also the HFC VSR-11(11, not 10) is good, you can put in a m120 and get it up to 400 fps.

I just picked up a M15A4 M16 AEG also, fuly upgraded, it's nasty.

Thats pretty similar to my springer (P99 as well).

Its hard to determine if a spring pistol is really 'good' because (this is probably false) most of them are built the same and have very similar internals and maybe a different powered spring...so they are all the same to me except for how they look.

But yeah, we do have an airsoft field place around here. (I'm going for this kids bday, hopefully it'll be pretty fun) They do like huge team matches and capture the flag stuff its pretty cool.

Custom M16A3 (was orignally a TM SR-16). Threw a A2 front end of it, Guarder MBK (metal body kit) and a G&P ACOG, 4x of course. Also have a red cross one, but i hardly ever use it. Shoots 420.

Custom M4 RIS. (Orignally a TM M4) CA M15A4 MBK, Cut-off rear iron sight, aimpoint w/ cantileaver (sp?) mount, Misquito Molds RIS. Shoot 375.

I also have multiple front ends, so the combinations are endless (M733 Front end, M733 RIS, etc.) along with basically every SOPMOD accessory known to man.

Actually i have my M733 front end on my M4 right now. Exact replica of the '733 in BHD and my RIS is on my M16, making it a SPC.

I wish i still played airsoft. I don't have any, but one of my friends used to invite everyone over and we had a huge airsoft fight all over his house and yard. He was very rich so he had a HUGE house and a huge yard. It was so much fun.

Most of my guns are worth 800+ and would only sell for 500 so that is out of most people's price range.

I DO however have a UTG M14 which Im putting in all TM and CA parts into, it's being built right now.

If it turns out a beats, Im keeping it, but if it turns out decent, I might sell it.

The other two frankly are crap. And yes I agree TM guns are good, but companies like STAR and ICS are really nicely built. But TM is still overrated(not saying they are bad, just hyped to much).

The NEW ICS are good, the older ones are total POS. CAs are good, but have poor stock compression and the pistons totally suck and should be replaced by a TM or Guarder gray piston. STARs are getting better but they are not great, TM still beats them by a lot in terms of quality. I can't wait for reviews of their new AR line up. supposed to have Pro win gearboxes in them, er, clones of Pro win gearboxes. Should mean better compression.

It doesn't really matter what brand I get, nothing stays stock with me. I replace what I need to replace to get my guns where I want them to be. I don't go all out upgrading them, like I did with one of old M15s.

EastCoast-The JG/Echo 1 line up is good for MP5s.
No decent MP7s on the market yet, the Well and BE ones are garbage.
Only AEG P90 is the Marui, it's a great gun, I've owned one.

Bulldog- That's a decent gun, not the best JG gun out there though. The JG AUG is super nice for a MPEG.

TM makes a Desert Eagle...

That is a Tanaka M700 post ban export model and they run about 475 out the door. It has new bucking and striker plate, so it hits about 650 fps on a warm day.

My problem with airsoft is that one can easily lie about getting out. Don't say that "it hurts and you call yourself out instinctively",because I play speedball and we are trained to not react to when you get shot and wait to get a paintcheck or get called out. We use a strict honor code.
The quality of players where I play is great, only a few who sometimes won't call anything. We also have admins to control problems that may arise.

On another note I got my g-spec up to 500 fps

I'm in the 5th grade and today I finally got to have my first airsoft battle/war. I was really excited until my friends flanked me from the side. I tried to defend myself, But they shot me in the butt(where I barely protected, just boxers and pants). So taking my first shots in the butt, about 4 feet away, with powerful guns, I was like this at first::jawdrop: then like this,: :crazy: so then I had to humiliate myself like this: :worship: . So then is when I realized I should get a shotgun.

i own an Echo1 G16 and its just as good if not better than a Tokyo Marui and its half the price. my friends owns the TM G16 and besides the fact the echo1 is mostly abs plastic, it shoots harder and further. definately worth it

Shoots about 340-350 FPS. I could get it to shoot harder, but it's the gun I play with at tournaments and I use it for CQB.

And where do you play? Where I play, we MUST have ANSI approved full-seal goggles. Can't wear shooting glasses.

Anyway, my gun is up above through a link... it's pretty cool, the other ones I have were all springers which I sold. It's cool to have other Serious airsofters on here whom attend milsim events too.
For like the past 2 weeks i have done nothing except dream of airsoft... It's getting crazy, I usually don't play in the winter, only from end of spring all the way through the end of fall.

I'm diggin' that multicam. I just have regular ACU's. My vest isn't as cool as yours, but I put $900 into my gun so I had nothin' left for my gear!

Me and my friends use primarily springers. My weapon of choice is my Tanfoglio Witness 1911. It can reach 300fps, even though it says that it gets up to around 290.

For beginners, I definitely reccomend the Sig Sauer P230. It has great handling. It's not the fastest gun at 180 fps, but it's got great accuracy and is extremely durable! I've had mine for two years, it's taken more than a few bad drops, and it still shoots great. The mag capacity is also wonderful, 20 rounds. All of the Sig Sauers shoot great, they put a spin on the bullet so it goes a lot further. With a Sig Sauer P226, 292 fps, I hit my friend in the face from a hundred feet away.

TAURUS PT111
I've also tried out my brothers Taurus PT111, it's okay. The hop-up kinda messes up your aim, but if you're shooting at a short distance or a long distance it will work wonderfully! But be sure to use heavy BBs with it!!

S&W M3000
My Smith and Wesson M3000 Shotgun has never failed me, except when my idiot friend snapped off its handle! :evil: :banghead: :devil: :crying: :angry: :runaway: :puke: :nono:
After some careful duct taping, and some Gorilla Glue, it was good as new, and as an added precaution, I'm never letting that kid near my house again! I got it last year for Christmas and was out in the yard at five in the morning shooting it off. It still works fine though.

MINI- STEYR AUG
I also have an AEG that looks like a Steyr AUG rifle. It's fun for indoor skirmishes. If you're having backyard shootouts and you're up against springer pistols, you might stand a chance. It was wierd, even though it only goes 115 fps, my friend knocked my tooth loose from the other side of my yard with it!

OCP P90
The gun I purchased most recently is a P90, similar to the gun in the pictures at the beginning of this thread. It was an AEG at 180 fps, with blowback that went semi auto or fully auto. It had a 24 round clip I believe and took 4 triple A batteries. Within the first month it was messed up. I got my finger caught in it whne trying to fix it, I don't remember a time when I swore louder than that. I tried to repair it myself since the company wasn't helpful at all with the warranty. I ended up pulling out a rubber piece that had gotten stuck inside, and I tried putting it back into place and it ended up being able to shoot again! Not as fast though, until I changed the batteries:agree: :clap: !

MOSSBERG 550
This is one heavy piece of weaponry! It's meant to be a shotgun, but it comes with a laser sight and a red dot sight scope, and is great for sniping! It comes with two twenty round clips, and you can also buy a clip that holds 180 rounds! Usually, these 180 round clips are hard to find, so you have to order them online. They make your gun look sweet! Most of it looks like it is from the S&W M3000, except the handle is different, and there's an adjustable stock. At 355 fps, it's an amazing gun!

If you want one of the best rifles available that is an AK do this-

1) Buy a Tokyo Marui Ak-47(or AK-47S)
2) Have a shop install-
- Guarder SP100 spring
- Systema V2/V3 bushings
- Guarder metal bearing spring guide

That should put at 370ish FPS with a lotttttt of range.

It will cost you around 350 to get that with the upgrades. It should work with the magazine from your clone AK-47.

You'll want to look at a KWA glock... they are pretty rugged and snappy when run on green. Should be able to find them for around $100 most places.

If you're looking for a cheap, fast shooting, hard hitting AEG, go with an AUG. Steyr AUG that is, the quality has already been professed, and I do agree. Shouldn't cost you more than 60 bucks. If I would have looked at this thread long ago, I could have included a link for an AK-47 AEG made with real metal going for 50USD. Quite a steal, right? Anyone who wants to spend 450 or more on a TM or Classic Army should be shot. Literally. With the 450 dollar gun. You could buy a match grade pistol for 450USD. And it will shoot REAL BULLETS!

Alright but seriously, to avoid being flamed as a n0ob, I respect your decision (H&L) if this is your hobby. Wearing clothes isn't exactly a hobby of mine, but I've paid more for jeans than I have for iPods, so I don't mean to pass criticism so swiftly and I'm probably not the most qualified to do so either. Yes, TM's are godly pieces of art, yes, they can be worth the money if you're serious about the sport, I have no qualms with shelling out for quality. But can we discuss what merit there is to spending more for a piece of plastic that runs off of batteries than for an carbonitrided, stainless steel, engineering masterpiece? Sure you can shoot it anywhere you want and actually play with it with others, you can also buy versions of your favorite assault rifles that are impossible to own legally, but in the end, it's still a toy. You can get an long gun at 18 through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (http://www.odcmp.com/) for pretty cheap, and curb your addiction for another couple years. If I had known this back when I was a young punk, I would've taken advantage of it, I lived about an hour away from Camp Perry. Otherwise, if your dad is supportive and you are a responsible individual, you can try to convince him to buy one for you, that would still be legal in most states that do not require a permit to purchase. In fact, in many states, private sales of pistols to individuals at least 18 years of age is permitted, but it would easier to have your dad do it for you.
As for 'getting laid,' there isn't an age limit, as long as you have a consenting, similarly aged partner. Besides, Playboy magazines aren't printed for people who get some.....

Why do I spend lots of money on it? It's a hobby and I enjoy it. I'm 17 and cannot own a RS and I would have no use for a RS. A lot of the people I play with are current or ex Marine corp and they all own multiple RS. So why do they drive 1+ hours to shoot fake guns when they have RS at home? Look at my sentence above this paragraph. You shoot it to get joy, correct? You own it because it makes you happy, correct?

Airsoft is the same, but you can actually have skirmishes without going to Iraq :-P

Airsoft as a whole is a very lame sport.
But also very fun.

You can go ahead and toot your horn about owning RS and what not but it will make zero difference about how much I enjoy airsoft.

And I do plan on getting a G19 and Kimber once I'm done with grad school.

BoneBrakr12, no those are not decent airsoft guns. If you want any good gas pistol it will cost you over $100 and for ANY decent aeg it will cost over $200 go to www.airsoftams.com or www.airsoftgi.com to look for a decent one. Echo 1, JG, UTG, and all other Lpeg are crap compared to ICS, Tm, Classic army, VFC, G&P, and Systema. Clone guns are not as good as any of the higher brand guns I stated. I advise saving your money and getting a decent aeg to start with. BTW you will not find a good "sniper" for under $200 new! They cost a lot to upgrade and shooting with any good distance. If you think you should be a sniper I suggest you get a decent aeg and play around with that before you decied to be the UbeR SniPa that you saw in the movies or videa games.

You obviously did not read my post since you missed the joking part plus the three paragraph post right before yours explaining my comments in a little more detail. Since H&L was able to respond intelligently, I'm convinced my point was not lost or too combative. I'm not saying don't start out with one if you know you're serious, I'm just saying I don't think the majority of people here are 'starting out,' rather, like me back in the day, looking for something fun and exciting, but not really planning on picking it up as a hobby. Such as this: I wouldn't be against a new player buying a titanium stick if his heart desires, but if he says he wants a backyard/trick stick, titanium might be a little excessive in this case, simply because it's not needed. Does this illustrate my point better?

About beginner guns-
There is no doubt TMs are the best.
You can get a TM AK or M4 for around 200-220 bucks, or you can get a JG/D-Boys for around 100-180 (depending on model blah blah blah). I'm just saying if they think they will play for a while, a TM is a worthwhle investment. If it's for backyard wars, a JG will suffice. It's more of an individual preference and I'm sure if people here can spend 200+ on a stick they can get an AEG for the same price. I'm sure the above paragraph is missing words or something because it's 1:30AM and I don't really remember what I ate for dinner so if you need/want some clarification just ask.

RS= real steel. More of an airsoft term than anything else me thinks.

Money really isn't an issue for a range gun. I want it to be a beauty and work well. I can just sell an AEG or two to fund anything ;-) Haha!

Edit: To guys looking for a "sniper" under $100...you're out of luck. Creating a true sniper rifle will cost AT LEAST $500. For backyard plinking I would recommend a JG BAR-10, a TM VSR-10 clone. If you replace the piston sear with a Laylax PSS10 piston sear, put in a SP130, get a Nineball bucking, and cut the air break on the piston, you will have a nicely shooting "sniper" for around $200 dollars. I built my sniper platform off a TM VSR-10 Gspec and it was godly when it was shooting...blew through sears with a SP170, but my god how 550 fps is fun.

I'll also be selling a TM MP7 on the boards soon...maybe. Great gun, I just don't use it.

BoneBrakr12, no those are not decent airsoft guns. If you want any good gas pistol it will cost you over $100 and for ANY decent aeg it will cost over $200 go to www.airsoftams.com or www.airsoftgi.com to look for a decent one. Echo 1, JG, UTG, and all other Lpeg are crap compared to ICS, Tm, Classic army, VFC, G&P, and Systema. Clone guns are not as good as any of the higher brand guns I stated. I advise saving your money and getting a decent aeg to start with. BTW you will not find a good "sniper" for under $200 new! They cost a lot to upgrade and shooting with any good distance. If you think you should be a sniper I suggest you get a decent aeg and play around with that before you decied to be the UbeR SniPa that you saw in the movies or videa games.

Airsoft is not a gangster game at all...infact it is either nerdy asians or redneck guys who can't enough gun stuff...more the latter up here in northern california.

To silicon- If you've only upgraded the sping you're going to blow your sears quickly. Make sure to either get a zero trigger or replace and piston and trigger sears.

If you're talking about teflon taping the hop up and cylinder head and cutting the air break, then I'd like to see some chrono readings.

Those upgrades only put it around 425 fps at most.

I doubt anyone here plays mil-sim. I play VERY frequently, like 3 times a week. me and about 30 friends get together and use some vacant buildings and land. Great training when your off-duty.

I use an SR-16 with 650 mm barrel and a SOPMOD stock
and a highly upgraded L96 sniper.
