Ok so last weekend I saw Pursuit of Happiness at the theatres, you know the new movie with Will Smith. It is probably my favorite movie that I have seen in awhile.

Whover has seen this movie please post what you thought about it.

it was a pretty good movie, but it got kinda repetitive. a lot of the same things happened to will smith over and over.. but he had a cool kid.

definatley that kid was cool, but did you notice when something bad happened to him it wasnt repetitive, the things that happened kept getting worse...

Yea... And the kid in the movie is actually Will Smith's son, both of which I think make the movie better.

I thought it was very good, but I wish it wasn't cut so short at the end. Trying not to spoil it for those who haven't seen it, so I won't say more. Overall, GOOD MOVIE.

i just saw this movie and i kinda regret it. i only went because i had nothing to do and i forgot there was a flyers game on tonight. I went with 2 girls and they didnt even like it all that much it was way too depressing and it wasnt inspiring at all, it was actually discouraging because he worked so hard when he was young and he just got screwed over his entire life and the whole movie was like that. thats one of those movies i wish i could rewrite and make way better.

Well alot of people aren't going to like the movie, because is isn't happy, and doesn't have a happy ending, its a proven fact that people want happy endings at the end of stories. So alot of people are going to be dissapointed or not like the movie.

it did have a happy ending but you cant make up for a long depressing movie with 2 minutes of happiness.

how many times have you decided to "give up" on a game because it was "out of hand." Like down by four with four minutes to go?

That's the thread of the movie...if this guy didn't give up on his life, in spite of all the things that were all "against" him, why should we?

I love that he went straight from jail to the intern job interview without a suit on.

I love that he sold blood to get the radio shack part to get the bone density machine working so he could make the one more sale to keep going.

I love that when he didn't get to the PacBell exec's office on time (because of 'stuff' that conspired 'against' him), he went to the guy's home on Sunday to apologize...how easy would it have been for him to say, "Well, it just didn't work out, and it's not my fault."

Instead, in each case, he took charge of his life, and did what he could, regardless of what was stacked against him.

I saw dozens of little "points of happyness" in the entire film, not just the ending...

it's pursuit of happyness, good to know you can spell, but the title is happyness because the daycare lady can't spell, but the kid sure knows how to spell four letter words

Scenes where he grabs the scanners from the hippies got a bit too repetitive. Happened too many times that it got kinda tiring.

Other than that though, its preh good. I would've liked to see a stronger character in the kid. In the movie the kid was a bit too "lukewarm" if you can get what i'm saying.
