has anyone seen this movie? i own the original version (wich rocks) and i've heard they totally changed the story line around on the new one. also, is it based on a true story?

i really doubt that because i dont think there is an evil santa or w/e the thing that kills ppl is. but it looks pretty bad, just like all the horro movies these days.

The new one comes out on Christmas, so no; nobody's seen it yet. I might.

its not an evil santa that kills people LaxAttackman.
its a boy who kills and eats his family on christmas. then a few years later sorority girls come to buy the house and the boy still lives there, sorta. he has hidden in his attic for years and when the girls come he stalks, kills, and eats them. lol sounds pretty bad but the original is good

lol AttackSniper, you said the original sucked in your first post but then said it was good in your last. I kinda wanna see this movie cause It actually seems kind of entertaining.

yeah the original is pretty gross but it has a good story line. and i can guarantee that if the new one is anything like the old one, you will NOT be un-entertained. you never know what will happen next. kinda creepy actually

Whatever the case, in the future, there will in fact be a killing Santa. All I can say, is don't be on the naughty list!
On Tales from the Crypt there was this retarded/mutated guy who was dressed up as Santa and killed a woman and her daughter. Most disturbing episode I've ever seen.
I thought the movie looked pretty bad from the previews, but who knows, it could be the most amazing movie ever.
This movie looks freaking stupid. Don't go see it. Plus, violent movies suck, especially violent movies around or involving Christmas. Word.

If I see one more trailor for this I will flip, no matter what I'm watching I see at least 2 during every commercial break, I htink it's stupid, Christmas is suppose to be a happy time, and they make a horror movie about it and release it on Christmas? I think that is dumb. Never the less, I will probably end up seeing it anyways.

Preach. Violent movies do suck and there the only thing out now. Horror movies should have some violence in it but just enough to support the plot. Not the Ultra mega gore movies with little to no plot today.
