For 2006, I would have to say Click.
Of all time, it would come down to:
(in random order)
1. Remember the Titans
2. Saving Private Ryan- I have a soft spot for emotional war stories
3. Slapshot
4. Any of the Rocky's
5. Flags of our Fathers
Sorry, it's just so hard to pick just one movie.

...and to add...Full Medal Jacket
My wife and I saw this dating...not a great date movie...about the 6th date, went to a "serious" movie 'cause all we'd seen were chick-flix and comedies...not a great date movie...did I say it wasn't a great date movie?

Who wouldn't want to go see a guy get harrassed then blow away his drill Sgnt and them himself, neverless see the gruesomeness of Nam. You have to be kidding me!
Let's just say all we saw after were chick-flix for about two years...even after we were married...and no "whipped" commentary, please...

Best movie I saw this year was the new Warren Miller film, Off The Grid.
Best of all time? Can't really decide, but here is a few.
Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Donnie Darko
Saving Private Ryan
Black Hawk Down
Okay, first, V for Vendetta, since I still haven't seen a few key movies, particularly Little Miss Sunshine and The Prestige.
WORST MOVIE - HAPPY FEET
Horrible, horrible movie.
All time? I dunno, this is hard. Garden State is the best man chick flick ever and you will either want to cuddle or feel lovesick (been there, done both to the movie) the entire time pretty much. Then there's like Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Memento, you know, the great ones. So yeah, um, I thought some dang good movies came out this year. Agreed?

YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY FEET WAS SOOO AWESOME. I mean, I'm 14 years old, and I enjoyed that movie as much as any other flick I saw. I'll admit it. i will agree with everything else to a certain extent EXCEPT THAT!!

i really liked borat, little miss sunshine, and v for vendetta.
06- deja vu

i agree with this guy
Happy Feet was terrible. It was slow, had pointless singing, was horrifically corny, tried to speak to us about issues (why?) and was just worthless. I wanted to leave. The first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes were some of the worst film I've seen next to Spy Kids.

I like the list, I'd put the Sandler flicks a little lower on mine though except for Waterboy. Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan IMO are the best.
I believe a Halo movie is in the works, but will be a couple years until it comes out.

For this year, I'd have to say Babel. I mean it was really visual and all that, being rated R. But there was a good plot, that taught somewhat of a lesson. That, The Covenant, and Flags of Our Fathers. Of all time.. I'd have to say Remember the Titans or A Walk to Remember. And yes, I'm a girl.. considering I like A Walk to Remember.

Working at a film school, I just hope that no one reads my 2006 picks because they will tear me apart:
2006:
1. Crank - This movie is flat out sick. It has an insane pace and Statham plays it cpletely over the top awesome. Best scene: Fornication in front of dozens of asian tourists in downtown LA.
2. The Departed: Sick sick sick slice of Boston Americana caught on film. The first scene in the bar? I have seen those guys, drank beers with those guys, been yelled at by those guys, been dragged away form those guys by my friends all in the same night. I'm not syaing it tough, its just that I'm that stupid. Best Scene: Elevator. Frickin elevator.
3. Casino Royale: Go see layercake, tell me Craig didnt deserve to be bond after that. No one else was even close. Brosnan is a sissy compared to craig, and it showed on film. Best Scene: The second and third endings. you knwo why? This movie proves once and for al that women are evil evil creatures. I'm dead serious. Guys - trust not the womens. Respect them, give them what they want - but trust them never.
4. Half Nelson: Gosling is no longer the product of the notebook. He now pwns all of your souls in this sicko of a movie about a teacher who smokes cack. Sound familiar? I had one of those too...Best Scene: Someone catches someone doing somehting naughty.
5. Last Kiss: Rachel Bilsons left breast. That is all.
I won't play the all time game, as i cannot choose one movie and have difficulty committing to a top 10 much less a top 5.
