School cafeterias giving out PS2's?

Well, I guess in all of the holiday season, my school cafeteria gave out a PS2 and a Guitar Hero II. I actually know the kid that won it, it was pretty sweet. But does anyone else's school do anything like this, or is it just my school?

my school just started this attendence thing called yg2bp2w - you got to be present to win

and they go around and pick a random name and if your in your class when the draw, you win a prize and the teacher gets like $50 haha.

so far the prizes have been

ipod nano
6mp digi cam
portable dvd player..

it's stupid imo, it's been all freshman so far ;(

In Detroit Schools, ON the day they had to count how many kids were at the school, to find out how much Money the Gov has to give to them, as a bribe, they gave free Ipod nanos, Psps, and ps2's to kids.

They also trade those things for guns.
