Hello,
I'm pretty novice in Lacrosse. Can someone tell me the differences between:
-elbow guard
-arm guard
-elbow pad
-arm pad
Thanks

i dont think there is a big differance between elbow and arm, i think elbow is mainly used for defensive arm pads which are very small. Arm guards are multi-piece arm protection usually having an upper arm part, an elbow part and a forearm part, for example

Arm pads are one piece, and generally smaller, but seeing as i am a goalie i don't know about flexability in comparison, arm pads for example look like

hope that helps, a field player can add on protection and flexability
There's no set definition for any of those; it varies from company to company and really piece of equipment to piece of equipment.

Armguard: Mainly used by attackmen and middies. They're big and often a little more restrictive in movement.
Armpad: Used by all positions by people that want something smaller and more flexible.
Defensive armpad: The smallest, most unprotective pad and yet very flexible. Often used by defensemen for quicker reactions and because they don't get checked often on the arms.
That's all you need to know!

to add to dutchy- armguards are usually known for more protection than armpads
but as said armpads are little better if you'll sacrifice a little (and I mean a little) protection

elbow pads tend to be smaller (thus the elbow), arm pads tend to be longer (hence the entire arm).

elbow guard/ pad= protects the elbow more flexible
arm guard/ pad= more protective sacrfice movement a little
