Hey im just wondering whats the deal with ncaa clearing house
www.ncaaclearinghouse.net
it says you have to sign up if you wanna play ncaa div 1 or 2. But i dont know anyone whos actually been through it. Im not even really sure what it is. If someone could tell me what it is does it help you and if anyone else has used it before. Also is it really mandatory to get into a div1or2 school?

Yes is mandatory for D1 and D2. Its the first thing coaches tell you to submit during your senior year. I submitted mine back in september.

Yes, in order to be eligible to compete at the Division I or Division II level you must register with the Initial-Eligibility Clearing House. It basically makes sure that you have completed all of the required courses and have enough credits to participate in athletics. It does not help you get recruited though, it's just something the NCAA has to make sure you didn't just flunk your way through high school. Just look over that site and it should pretty much explain it to you.

You don't file it until you're a senior though, so don't worry about it until later (unless you've signed, then all you have to do is follow the instructions on that site). I think you have until August 1st right before you start your freshman year. Don't wait that long though, you're only asking for trouble. As soon as you know you're going D1, I would start the paperwork and get everything in.
