Ok, what the heck was this, http://www.insidelacrosse.com/page.cfm?pagerid=2&news=fdetail&storyid=143281 ??? So outside of looking at the same stats I can pull up on nll.com and stating who is part of the team's defense, what the heck did this insider tell us? Let me try this. My insider tip of the day is, Colin Doyle is a forward, can score goals, is a man, wears shoes when he plays lacrosse and sources close to him says he like to use a stick when he plays lacrosse. There, I just matched IL's insider in actual information that will be useful to people. Seriously people, if anyone takes Mundorf, you're an idiot. No mention of someone like Snider or Moss as to what their status heading into the year is, which would have actually been useful. Just horrible work guys.

Ok, finally finished reading the whole thing and it is even worse than when I just skimmed it over. It really is pure rubbish. Why would Beisel improve Arizona's defense when he had probably his worst season ever last year with Toronto? Who expects Scott Anderson to have a good season? If whoever wrote this knew what they were talking about, they'd know he'll be lucky to start the odd game. When did Brandon Miller prove himself as a starting goalie in this league??? He's always been a backup in the NLL! Apparently Matt Zash is on the New York roster. I guess whoever wrote this knows better than the New York coaching staff, who don't even have Zash listed on the official team roster. Then there's random, generic comments like Philadelphia could be the best defense in 2007. Well why??? This has to be written by an American, becasue he mentions Jack Reid, who will likely see little to no time in Rochester this year. This is just a few of the many dumb comments made in this write up. Instead of educating fans and readers about the players in this league, they put this garbage out.

Is this spposed to get fans excited to take part in this fantasy game? Unreal. Put some thought into boxla and the nll IL!!! No wonder American field fans can't get stoked over the NLL when this is the kind of stuff they read.

Oh god, just noticed Reid is in their fan zone. With so many great rookies this year, they pick an American that will likly play a very minor role with Rochester. Let me guess, first questions, "Jack, What is the major difference between field and indoor lacrosse." Yawn

I just used this to re-order my draft list. I thought it was helpful. better than nothing for sure. Especially with the Chicago and NY picks I would have no idea where to rank their offensive players. Also Jack Reid was a monster in college and he is going to be a staple in the Knighthawks lineup as soon as he learns box. this is EXACTLY what american field fans should get stoked about the NLL for, american college stars breaking into the lineup not some guy like kyle dupont or mike kirk who the hell has ever heard of them??

LOL. Who is Mike Kirk?!?!? If you couldn't look at names like Ryan Boyle, Mat Giles, Jason Clark or Casey Powell when looking at the expansion teams, then you need more help than just a copy and paste of stats in numerical order. So basically, all that article was was an exact listing of players based on points, which is what nll.com has provided users already. In fact, if you had just left the order as nll.com gave you, you wouldn't have had to re-order anything, it would have been identical to this "insiders" information. How much do you want to bet that Reid will start in less than half the knighthawks' games this year? In fact, I would bet money not only will Scott Ditzel start more games, but he will have a lot better season than Reid does this year or any after that.

Ditzel is a good player but Reid will be much better once he 'gets' the box game.

my point about the fantasy thing was I didnt know much about matt giles or jason clark. something like this blurb was very helpful "With more of an offensive load to carry, look for Mat Giles and Jason Clark to flourish on the expansion Shamrox. The duo played together in Ottawa in 2003 and combined for 117 points." also the rookies need to be moved up it helped a lot with that.

Yeah, yeah, I know man, I was being sarcastic.

But wanted to check this thread out again for other reasons. Three games in and no Jack Reid. Am I missing something. The Inside and others told me how good this guy would be in the NLL but if doesn't appear or sound like he's getting a sniff of any game time. What am I missing? Please do tell. In fact, either Mike Kirk or Kyle Dupont would have gotten you more points than Reid has to date (and likely for the whole season).

Also just noticed while rereading, they have Doyle and Benesch both listed as San Jose players worth looking at. What a tip.

Reid finally played last night in Toronto and the night before against Minnesota with limited minutes. I only even noticed he was dressed sometime in the third period in the Rock game and he might have thrown the absolute worst hit towards the end of the game that led to an easy goal through the middle. I saw nothing in this guys game to suggest he'll ever be good in boxla. Thought in the Rock game at least, he looked very out of place.

Benesch was dealt to Toronto??? Yeah, like two months ago!!! What kind of bogus crap is this?!?!? What horrible coverage and lack of real reporting for our great game. These kind of glarring errors make me wonder if anyone at this magazine realizes lacrosse goes on north of the boarder! And since I am sure this will be deleated shortly after this post, the insider is letting us know that a major trade made that will affect our fantasy teams is that Benesch was dealt to Toronto. I know it's hard to follow where the number one draft player in the league is at, but how about these gems prior to two months after the trade was made!

Great info!

Like why the hell would you pick Reid for this fantasy pool anyway?Unless you're getting Steenhuis or Merrill, you're getting more fantasy points with a mid-grade forward than with damn near any defenseman.

Isn't is obvious! Oh wait, you expected them to actually analyze their claims with fact or stats or at least some sort of personal opinion. You expect too much RockStar. :guns:
