i got a cheap shot to the back of my head once... i was just about to get a pass and it would have been just me and the golie, well the golie came out and just creamed me... that :cussing ... they made me go to the hospital to check my back and head but what hurt was my legs... i don't remember the hit but some people tell me a guy took a baseball swing at me as i was going down... so i had a slash, check from behind to the head without possesion and the call was... loose ball push...no penalty nothing... i hate our reffs

yeah, when i got crosse checked in the jaw, i didnt even remember it, i only remembered getting up from the ground, and there wuz no call at all! toledo refs r the worst out there, either that or they just dont like our team. speaking of goalies, one time this goalie clothes hanged me during a clear, although that wuznt really a big deal, i laughed b/c i wuz surprised it happened.

Today I got poke-checked under the helmet and into the bottom of my chin. It hurts when I touch it.

I just started, so no major injuries!

I was bleeding the other day though... ah well, suck it up, dont be a *****

twisted ankle from mach that still hurts when I use my ankle a lot, and some bruises. I hurt my ankle in my Indor season, when I was going onto the field out of the closed in bench, someones stick was near the door, I tripped over it, and tripped on the little step?overhang on the bench.

We were playing 3v3 today and I was going for the ground ball and just as I picked it up, my camp coach swung as hard as he could at my glove, but hit my arm instead... thats gonna make a nice bruise

i just tore a ligament in my knee a few days ago.

I had hurt it playing soccer the day before but it was just a bit sore nothing major. Then in a pile for a loose ball some kid's stick hit me right in my knee i had to come out cause of the pain and went to the doctor the next day cause the swelling didn't go down, find out how bad i hurt my leg. and now have to get around on crutches for a while till it heals

I've done something, who knows what, to my right ankle. Thats pretty much the only recurring lacrosse injury I have. I just got it x-rayed after reinjuring it and its not fractured so I'm just resting on it now.

My nose is crooked because i took a lax ball to the face w/ no helmet when i was practicing once! I got hit in the side of the knee while I was practicing w/ my friend. I was getting my ball out of the goal, and my stupid friend decided to shoot! It hit me right in the side of my right knee... OUCH!! I fell and rolled around, then shot a ball at him as he was running away, it got him in the back!

I have torn my ACL, MCL, and both meniscuses in my knee (all at the same time playing a game.) I had to have stiches in my face and I also broke my orbital socket when a ball hit me in the eye. And this past year I tore the articular cariledge in my knee and I am recovering from surgery that I had at the beginning of the summer. All those injuries were just from playing lacrosse....lots more in all the other things I do!

I got hurt for the first time this year after playing for six or seven years. Not including the various burises . I tore some ligaments in my ankle and pulled my achilles tendon. I t really sucked because it was senior year and all and i missed most of the significant games of the season. I went back after about three weeks cause the achilles was not torn but stil lthe thing was painful as **** and I was not up to snuff. Once the season ended I stayed of it from a running standpoint until now about 7 or 8 weeks. I am happy to say i can run now withouth pain but some ankle injuries take a long time to heal.
I never got hurt playing soccer at least not significantly.

my first year of playing i forgot my cup (i play goalie) and figured that the odds were against me getting hit in the sack, and i did, and it hurt . . . bad. I couldnt breathe for like 5 min. I got a hair line fracture on my shin a couple years back, which hurt pretty bad also. But those dont amount to what i just found out last week, that I have arthritis in both my knees, which totally sucks, and is totally painful. I feel like an old man, time to get out the Bayer

shots on the throat could kill someone
do you remeber some hockey player tried to block a slap shot and he recieved it right on the throat and he nearly got killed...

speaking of throat injuries, anyone remember ex-Sabre Clint Milarchuck (sp?) getting his throat sliced by a skate on the ice during a hockey game?

Rix
07-27-2003, 09:16 PM
no...but do you remember a player of the Montreal Canadiens last season got his right wrist sliced by a skate...the hand was attached to the arm only by one little nerve...he nearly lost all his blood..that was something kool to see

Worst thing that has happened to me was taking a hard shot off the chest, then i have also been hit from behind after i had passed the ball, and normal i dont wear any equiment besides slash gaurds, gloves, helmet, anything that is manditory, but lucky i had decided to put kidney pads on for this game, after the hit only had scraped and bruised knees.

That's pretty bad if that's what actually happen. Depending on the severity, he would have gotten unsportansmenlike(screw the alsh) and I might have ejected the guy which is 3 minutes non releaseable and told him to go play some baseball.

I just remembered an injury I caused, rather than had happen to me. I was playin in a tourney and was defending another team's player as she drove into goal. My stick was right on her and just by her driving in she bumbed her head against my stick, it was a freak accident. Anyway, the goalie saved the shot and proceeded to clear the ball. I look back at the girl like two seconds later and she's got blood pouring down her forehead. That freaked me out and I felt really bad but my coach said it was just a little cut and it the reason it blead so much was because it was on her head, which made me feel better. The girl ended up being okay though, thankfully.

OK gentlemen, and lovely ladies, is everyone ready for this... Two years ago, i did complete tears of my ACL PCL and MCL on my right knee. I was in rehab for a hella long time, i think it came out to about 11 months. a year before that i broke the tip of the tibia off of my left knee. This past season, when i was running the ball up the field looking for an outlet, i got blindsided and dislocated my shoulder. I've broken both of my wrists, once when i was 5 the other when i was 15. i play goalie in hockey too, and i gloved a shot in the palm and broke my hand. there other minor ones like concussions and sprains but they don't really matter. But rix, i gotta ask you, what kind of things do you foresee in the future, painwise for me?
