Ok, I've got these old Brine things (I don't even know the model) that I think really constrict me in the way of arm movement. They take up a good portion of the mid-arm. The center piece stays in place while the ends go out of place and I have to readjust them. it sucks. When I pick up my stick without these pads, I can rally move the stick around, check, and throw a lot better. What arm pads would you guys suggest that allow maximum flexibility/mobility for a pole? I don't care much about protection. I know there are defensemen specific ones, but not sure which kind is the best.

I was using Brine Trident AP for a while, they're pretty small, but my arms kept on getting bruised too much so I had to switch to STX Exo.

warrior mll 5.0 elbow pads for d if you dont mind getting armbruises and youd rather keep your arms cool and have a larger range of motion

Might be aging myself here, but you gotta go old scchool with elbow pads on defense. We used to be able to get away with not wearing them, before the rules were changed. Anyways, minimal elbow pads on defense is advised. I don't understand today's pads for defense, the only time you're getting checked is if you run up the field and go to offense. You want the least amount of pads so you can catch and throw easier as well as check easier and unrestricted. Hell, back in high school some of my teammates used cut socks just so it would look like they pads on when they really didn't. Anyways, i'm done with my rant.
http://laxworld.com/item.php?ww_item_no=2555 those, in my opinion, are the way to go. If you're worried about getting checked in the arm and feeling the pain, maybe a new position is for you where you can load up on pads....say attack maybe

Hmm...socks you say. Maybe a new idea for next season or something similar.

I'm by no means recomending you use socks, just saying that was an option for a few years way back when. Using socks now would really screw you and your team as you wouldn't be able to play and even if you did manage to get on the field, one chop would probably take you out of a game
