I've just begun the recruiting process (sending out emails to coaches) and was wondering what other peoples experiences have been like in regards to this so I can get an idea of whats going to happen. Do coaches usually email you back or send u mail? About how long does it usually take to receive a response? things like that

thanks

At this time of the year don't expect to get an email back the next day. These coaches are busy gearing up for the season and that takes up most of the focus. But from my experience in the recruiting process and from what I saw of my coach recruiting while I was at college, they tend to set a side a day, if possible, and return as many of the emails as possible. This might differ depending on what grade you are in and what type of prospect you are. When I was sending out emails, I was sending them to coaches that had seen me play at camps and were aware of my interest in their school. So most of them did get back to me in a timely fashion. While some of them asked me to send them stuff, like game tape, others just polietly said that they were not looking to fill my position or have already filled my position. Don't take offense or be downhearted if you hear this you just have to keep on plugging away and find that school that fits your needs. There are plenty of schools that field lacrosse teams and all of them are looking for good athletes, students, and people.
