on the news, it said it was a warm front, and that its pushing the cold front thats coming down from canada away, and thats why its not as cold as it should be. it does get cold though, when everyone is asleep at 6 Am, and im out running in P.E 0 period/block, its 26 degrees out.

High is 12 degrees Wednesday. Super.
And your day is coming East Coasters... Extremely quickly. You have an offshore low forming at the same time as an Arctic Front will come through your area. At the very least you all will get snow showers in maybe 3 days? Somewhere around there...

Yeah, Actually its just going to melt ocean water until the Gulf Stream is overflowed. The Gulf Stream goes out, So does all of the Northern Hemisphere's warm air supply. Hellllo Ice Age. Google the Gulf Stream. You'll probably find some sites supporting my little theory there too, you can read those as well. They have the general idea.

El Nino is the warming of specific parts of the Pacific Ocean. It warms storms up, moves various ocean currents, ETC. It generally means Cold/Snowy for most of the East Coast, Normal for Midwest/ Southwest, and Warmer/Less moisture for Northwest.

For the past three days we have had the usual HIGH WINDS in the desert southwest..like 35-55 mph being the norm...with dust so bad you cannot see fifteen feet in front of your car...interstate and other highways close for time periods...so, the 65-75 degrees we got is great, but wind and dust suck high level...
it does this here in the spring and fall...and in the Fall, it's El Nino, right over the top of us...
couple of years back, 75 mph wind sent ten-row aluminum bleachers rolling end-over-end 200 yards through the park, and flattened them at the end of the ride...

20 degrees in April, I think I'll take back the 70
Pitibear
04-12-2007, 03:54 PM
yeah, your weather in NE is dreadful...here in the desert southwest, we have the next 8 hours of "perfect storm" weather...two low pressure areas and a dropping jet stream all hitting at once...temp is 80 degrees, the bad part is the 60-70 mph wind storm that has resulted...I guess I'll take a couple of hours of eating dust over sub-freezing in mid April, though...
