Whip will probably make it more accurate.
Pull the diamonds low down on the head to create a tight channel. This will force the ball to come out of the head at the same point every pass.
If you pull them too far down, the ball will get caught in the mesh and whip. You need to find a close medium, pound the mesh, and than you'll be good.
Other factors are your hand placement on your stick. You have to make sure your hands are always in the same spot. Than you need to make sure that your stick starts from the same position over your shoulder when you throw, and than you have to apply the same amount of force from your torso rotating.
But try making the channel tighter and you should have a pretty consistent stick.

There is no such thing as an accurate pocket. There is a well-strung pocket, but even then the best strung pocket is not accurate. Accuracy comes soley from you as a shooter, have a pocket strung to your preference does aid the process; but does not take or add accuracy to a shot.
Hope this helped.
a consistant pocket and some wall ball
Use some hard mesh and straight shooters and get use to using the same stick. "Accuracy" is really consistancy in disguise.
Whip will probably make it more accurate.
I completely disagree with you there, in fact less whip allows you to follow through and "point" to your target which can enhance accuracy.

keep good form and snap the passes. and make sure your head isn't rediculously flexible, the ball will catch on the shooters and make the pocket inconsistent, not unaccurate. and if you can learn to play with more whip, the ball will stay in the sweet spot of the pocket with less effort, therefore giving you a more consistent release

I think a stick should be able to be thrown while your upper hand is anywhere on the shaft.. there is a proper way to throw it for maximum leverage by standing the appropriate way and doing the mechanical arm motions, but lacrosse isn't a pitchers mound.
I (assuming i'm not alone) don't make every single pass identical; my hands naturally tend to grab certain spots but i can throw from any of them. tight in quick passes a higher grip and a low one for shots.
and in my opinion how to make sticks more accurate: keep the mesh hard, have sidewalls very tightly strung, play wall ball with untill your arms fall off

You don't make every pass identical, but when you change your hand position, you happen to know the difference to make in every other field that thug said...
Thug made perfect sense.

What you want to do is make a channeled pcoket. A lot of people try to do this by adding a V or U shooter. Also in my experiances a higher pocket seems to be more accurate but more whippy. Just double up higher up on the head to creat a nice high pocket. Check the tuts there is one there I believe.
