i have only been playing for a few months and was wondering what pointers i could get off all you experienced fellows. i.e. in what situations/areas of the field do I play aggressively and passively? thanks for your help.

p.s. i know all the basic skills, and i know its a sin to not constantly look around to see what the attack is up to, plus some basic defensive stuff, so i am not clueless, but help is still appreciated.

you can back off a little if they are far behind at x (i.e. near the end line). never go for homerun checks w/in a 12 yard radius (with the *possible* exception of behind the cage), sometimes coaches will give u specific areas and they will point out what checks to do/not to do when and where.
