those kinds of shooting strings in my opinion don't work well when you do them straight across. they're better than weaved if they're nylons, but not with straight shooters. you're better off doing regular rolled shooters. and tighten up the sidewalls. loose sidewalls + tight shooters = problems
and I'm not just saying tighten sidewalls out of habit or preference (I actually enjoy loose sidewalls if strung right), what happens is the pocket swings a ton from the loose sidewalls and then gets caught on the tight shooters.

try taking one out, and losten the others in the stair method (bottom is loosest, then gradually get a little bit tighter) If you lose that whip your trying to get rid of, but end up with lip problems, put a really tight nylon like a row or 2 under your top string
It helps :)

Restring it. You need to tighten the sidewalls and such, so it wouldn't be much harder then redoing it. As for shooters, I'm thinking three hockey laces and one nylon. weave a nylon as tight as can be two rows down from the scoop, skip a row, then have a hockey lace real tight. then a hockey lace semi tight and tie it off. then maybe a pretty loose U or wide V if theres to much whip then u, don't tie. if there is still too much whip untie the knot for the second shooter and pass around with it till it throws right (either you'll adjust your throwing motion a tiny bit or the string will loosen and whip will reduce.
