How good is this band? It's pretty rediculous how amazing they are (in my opinion anyway)
Their instrumentals are just perfect.
I saw them in concert last fall and it was awesome.
I'm just trying to spread the love...

Listen to the break down (about 4 minutes 45 seconds in) on Selkies; the Endless Obession.
That whole song is awesome.

i must say you are one brilliant man. i've been a huge fan of this band for quite some time. they are so good no matter what it is theyre doing, such as the harder stuff like on purevolume, or the more laid back stuff like their song "Laser Speed" which is extremely chill, and their cover of Queen's "Bicycle Race."
I too saw them in concert, and they are extremely talented all over. Tommy Rogers (the singer) has awesome vox and is one mean keyboard player. The guitar players are nuts, and their drummer is sick. The double bass beats are insane.
PS-Anyone hear Tommy Rogers sideproject-"Giles?" It's techno. I think its cool that he does such a wide range of music to show off his skills.

I listened to them play "Blackened" by Metallica, and I thought that they completely butchered it. I don't like them, or any other metal bands today. It all sounds the same, and the high-pitched screaming and low-pitched screaming sounds terrible to me. No one shows much musical talent anymore. A lot of my friends tell me that I listen to all these old bands, but to me, they're the only ones worth listening to. Not to insult anybody, but that's just my opinion.

Not big into this kind of music really, but I think that Lamb of God has better instrumentals and overall better songs then them. Not bad though.

I love BTBAM.....
Then again Im a Hardcore kids so yah know.
But BTBAM, is one of the staples of my musical diet.... They're amazing.
Oh yeah and GoBucks, the BTBAM covers all suck. I bought the Anatomy of (a cd of all their covers) and i hate it.
But Alaska and Silent Circus, are both really good.

I absolutely can't stand this kind of music, and I listened to some of the songs. I don't like them at all, too metal for me.

Ah, me and BTBAM have some history. Their from NC you know so they played here all the time. Good ol' days when BTBAM and Glass Casket would OPEN for bands, not the other way around...
Since then, I've definitely strayed away from metal/hardcore, but Silent Circus is easily one of my top 5 albums. Ad A Dglgmut and Mordecai are amazing amazing songs. I really think BTBAM lost their touch with their newer stuff, they used to be so groundbreaking and just creative. I guess they don't have anywhere else to go. But still a solid band, one of the few metalcore bands I still listen to. Actually, probably the only one.

sorry for bringing an old tread back up but i just wanted to voice my opinion on btbam.
i think they are one of the greatest bands period. they have amazing vocals, guitars, drum, everything. the mindset of tommy(vocals) is in another world and i don't think anyone who listens to them minds. the lyrics are really deep and though out. i think btbam is honestly one of the best bands out there.

Ahhh where was I for this thread??@!?!?!?!?@!?#!$!@%
I think Alaska was fairly weak compared to some of their other stuff (mostly Between the Buried and Me, as I have yet to purchase The Silent Circus but have heard most of it), but my God. Selkies honestly puts me in a complete different place. The absolute definition of epic in my opinion. Whenever I listen to that song, I just zone out and think of how amazing it is. The only song I can honestly say that has entranced me. And ya know, Alaska and All Bodies are decent as well (10, there much more than decent). And freakin' Laser Speed. Genious.
I enjoy this band.
I listened to them play "Blackened" by Metallica, and I thought that they completely butchered it.
I kinda agree there. The Anatomy Of... isn't anything too great, except standout songs like "Bicycle Race", in which Tommy, and the whole bands really, shows their versatility.
No one shows much musical talent anymore.
That's where I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. I would take Paul over Kirk Hammett any day, granted he was probably heavily influenced by Kirk and without him Paul probably wouldn't be the same guitar player he is today, but Kirk really isn't anything special at all. And Tommy, the singer, is also a very versatile and talented musician. One song doesn't do this band justice by any means.
Edit: Completely forgot about The Primer. So melodic. And Shevanel Cut a Flip. Great song. I could talk about them for days.....
