my first string job!

hey guys, i just bought a new head, and decided to try to string it myself. i wanted to do a pita pocket, but only had 2 leathers so i modified it a bit with crosslace. i want an honest opinion, this is my first time, so i want to learn how to get better. thank you!

You didn't interlock right, let me find the interlocking tutorial.

looks ok for a first try. You should try interlocking the knots (in Talent's tutorial I think). Give it a look.

Edit: Gigo beat me just cause he has more experience typing, I'm going to start practicing.

you'll tend to get better feedback if you specify that first, since this is a mostly male-dominated site. anyways looks pretty decent, although next time instead of just zig-zagging the string (like you did between the outside and inner leathers) try making a normal trad knot with it, you'll get better consistency

way to messy, there is a better way to do the nylon runners which you are trying to do search for jaywaps all weather pocket, and dont girls rules have a lot of specifications you have to conform to?

you probably could have pulled your wannabe leathers a little tighter to even out the inner and outer channels. and in the first pic it looks like you didnt interlock one of the knots correctly. also i thing your sidewalls are supposed to interlock with the outer crosslace part. other than that id say it was a solid first try at stringing

I don't know much about girls stringing, but other than the other guys^^(interlocking correctly) i think this is a very good job of a first stringing job!!:-)nice job with the 2 leathers..
