Rocket Pocket tips

While trying to imitate a RP I realized there were a few things that were vital the the throw and hold.

First, when stringing the spirals on the sides make sure the top is tighter that the middle part, this way the pocket will be firm and the ball would not hit the plastic top.

Next, when stringing the channel make sure you measure out the width between the leathers and keep it even. A crooked channel means a crooked throw.

Finally, when cutting your string make sure its very very long, in my experience running out of string is the most frustrating aspect of stringing.

*remember when stringing anything make sure you have all the materials with you. It sucks to have to order more nylon half way through.

Actually, in an RP the channel widens out almost every time.

Its actually "Rock-it Pocket"

Its a custom pocket done by a company...
This is a variation of the pocket called a "pookie pocket" (Just a low pocket)

It's a really complicated custom that people buy for their sticks, or as this thread implies string themselves. the hard part is getting the look and feel of a real RP(rock-it pocket). check it out at www.rock-itpocket.com

It comes with shooters, thats the one he strung. He didn't add shooters.

I got a Torque done by them its amazing
then i tried my own on a old sniper

Just the light, I pinched it and stretched the pocket, so the last two pics are more recent.

Also I traded it off for a Mojo.

Ehh... I got it on sale. It was RP's clearance head, so I got it for cheap.

correction: you are allowed to do it yourself, you're just not supposed to make it and sell it to other people, that is what hurts the company.
