i was looking at my team schedule and we play desmet jesuit and cbc from st louis like we do every year and some team called vianney marianist...and from indiana we play zionsville...is anyone on here from these schools and how are you guys looking this year

i live in the area. im familar with vianney, they are ok. not as good as cbc or desmet though. then again i dont know that much. if your interested in the research, try::: stltoday.com > prep sports (located on the right hand side) > boys lacrosse > then there are drop downs for schools on the lower left

thats funny because zionsville lost to barrington 17-9 who we usually beat some years and we are always competitive with them if we lose so i doubt it

Desmet and CBC are solid teams—however depending on when you play Desmet, some kids are suspended in the first 4 games including their starting goalie and defenseman.

If you are playing teams lke that, you can probably beat Vianney.
yeah im pretty sure we can beat them usually we play rockhurst desmet and cbc and we have beat all of them more than once before but rockhurst doesnt play us anymore because they already play out of state too much...and we play desmet very early in the season so we could beat them as you said with the suspensions

i'd have to disagree with jmilf. I'm from the indy area and i've got to say zionsville doesn't seem to be as strong this year as they were last year. They're still a very respectable team with a strong group of senior midfielders and a returning four year starter goalie, but their biggest loss was their attackmen. Last year, they had a GREAT attack line with three seniors so it'l be interesting to see how they play this year thought, good luck!

i hate to say it but there is a big difference between illinois teams and indiana as illinois is stronger easily...state champs in indiana is impressive but like said you got whooped by barrington who was 6th in the state of illinois when zionsville were first...how is cbc looking anyone

ok, i'll get off of it. yeah, indiana lax is weak compared to mizzou maybe. but mizzou maybe isn't jack compared to maryland so you need to get off your horse a little too buddy.

Last time I checked I am not on a horse? And I also do not recall ever making a statement that missouri lacrosse was better then Indiana. In fact I even said Z-ville was a very strong team. I simply stated that you have no reasonable support for saying that Libertyville will not win.

yeah i dont doubt zionsville there a solid team so cbc is looking good we beat them last year in ot and we were pretty down too...so who all from desmet is suspended anyone know

you'll definately have more trouble with desmet seeing as everyone hypes them to be number 1 or 2 this coming year for Missouri lax. cbc is probably gonna be between 5th-10th.

i wish we got to play desmet at the beginning of the season lol jk

I am not gonna imput an opinion here, just wanted to let you know all the facts, we lost to Rockhust Jesuit by 1, they went 27-0 last season, pretty good, ended up 4th in the midwest. The barrington game our second game played that day, their first, and was played 3 hours away from home. not making excuses just stating fact. Which school do you go to? If its libertyville you ended up 89th in the midwest. We were 15th.

state champs are vaulted in those rankings, just because they have a much better power ranking than anyone else in the state (obviously).

i play for desmet. the suspensions will not be a factor in any of our games, the only regular season is kirkwood. but that might change, i dont really know who got what. all i know is that (as of now) last years starting goalie is not comming back, he might but might not. and all the other suspensions are to jr. so there is really enough to be a big deal

well jackass their ranking was not inflated, rockhurst played 3 games in a span of 5 hours with no food and an hour bus ride, and if i recall at the end of the first half ahh rockhurst was up ahhh 8-1, and wait in the secound half you came back, thatwould nt have anything to do with the fact that they might have been tired with no food, rest or water, and they still won. so no the ranking is not inflatede, zionsville was not that good at all and should stop thinkking they were playing level with a quality team

KC laxer do you play for rockhurst? if so do you hang out with schafer degan? if not you should you two seem a lot alike.......regaurdless of your vicotry zionsville was the closest game you had all year....so give them credit for the fact you didnt beat them by 10 like most everyone else you played.

Chill man. He wasnt stating Rockhurst was overrated he was only talking about Laxpower. You guys earned a #22 ranking by USLacrosse but on LaxPower it takes into account state champions and inflates the rankings. Dont take it personal.

i go to lville and we had a lot of injuries last year and we were starting sophomores so we were very inexperienced...but we beat barrington more times than not and they handed it to zionsville so well see...also we beat cbc last year and we have beat desmet before they are an exceptional team...well see
also no way zionsville is better than loyola academy or detroit cc or lths laxpower just isnt very accurate

Yea, Pearman was gonna be a leader this year for sure. His backup, Colin Atkinson, had a solid performance last year and really works on his game non-stop, so it's not like we are starting the season with an inexperienced goalie. We're also bummed about losing Birner, but nobody on the team is really freaking out. It would be nice to have all the extra talent beggining the season, but all the guys I know on the team have such a strong work ethic towards improving their game that it will balance out.

yeah us and desmet usually have some good battles...we were down with injuries last year and still lost only 10-7...and we have beat u guys multiple times should be a good game
