Ok, heres the incident, I had a winter league game today. I scored three goals so the other coach requested a stick check for my stick. I gave the stick to the ref and he said the pocket was ok but the shaft did not meet the specifications. (30")
When i first bought the kannon/cs10, honestly, in kinda felt long.

I think i read a thread about the lenght of cs10 but didnt really read if it was legal.

Was it just the ref or is cs10 really illegal??
I couldnet play after that since my stick was taken :jawdrop:

I thought it could be 31" also. I believe thats what the CrankShaft is.

There actually is no rule regarding head or shaft length, just the two as a whole.

The ref was retarded.

STX shafts are 31 inches and assuming your head was as you bought it it should still be legal.

No rule governs shaft length, only total stick length.

On these bent shafts, do we measure along the top or along the back?

The back will be shorter than along the top, BTW. Hypoteneuse and all that.

Careful, fol15 - you may be a slow learner also.
The length of the head must be a minimum of 10 inches from the outside edge of the head to the beginning of the throat of the crosse...
So there is a head length rule - it doesn't include the part that the shaft slides into. Total stick length needs to be 40-42" or 52-72". There is NO specific shaft length rule. In theory, you could have a 30" long head and a 10" shaft.
One issue with the new offset shafts is that they have to be properly paired up - you can't put a standard head on a bent shaft.

Make sure you take an extra stick. Right, or wrong, officials call is the call.

Equipment guidelines and rules are all over the map and they are still changing. Now the regs and check your stuff. As far as sticks go, be sure you always bring an extra. Its a shame to not play because of a bad stick call.

Yea but the bend really shouldnt disrupt the measurement of the crosse.

A 10-headed crosse would surely be illegal, as well as quite hard to handle.
