Well, I hope you all know that using a D-pole and a short pole are pretty different. I just wanted to get a consensus among all you other fellow polers out there and see if you guys do the same drills with a D-Pole as others do with a shorty.
I know how some guys say they throw around in the house and they cradly everywhere they go, well....it inst that easy for a pole :nono: But I still feel like i should be getting the same amount of stick skill training as a short pole
So, what wall ball drills should be stressed for a D-pole? And being that a d-pole is longer then that of a shorty, should there be a longer distance from the wall?
**Yes I did search*

I do 50 righty close to the wall
50 left close to the wall
50 righty far from the wall
50 Left far from the wall with my dpole.
And try finding a gate and throw some poke checks and some slap checks

I do 25 right, 25 left, and 50 high hand exchanges. Throw left, catch right, throw right, catch left.
Usually I do this from around 10 to 15 feet since the wall I use doesn't have a real good bounce if you know what I mean.
I also usually do some real long throws at a gutter from about 100 feet away, maybe like 10 each hand. and some grounbals right and left.
Sometimes I do BTB, but I usually get too frustrated after the first 3 times I throw if a mile behind myself.

50 Right hand quick stick, 50 left
50 right hand catch/cradle, 50 left
50 cross handed right, 50 left
50 switch hands while ball is in the air
i try to do one handed quick sticks, but with a pole it gets tiring
and i do usually dont do more than like 10 behind the backs because i get frustrated easily

I remember another thread like this.
It took me a while to find it though.
http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=64384&highlight=wallball+routine
I basicly stole longpole5435's routine.
A Wallball Routine For D
-50 Dominant to Dominant, choked up
-100 Weak to Weak, choked up
-100 Catch dominant, throw weak, catch weak, throw dominant, choked up
-100 Catch dominant, throw weak, catch weak, throw dominant, rolling away each time you catch, pole at full length
-20 Behind the back dominant
-20 Behind the back weak
-50 PERFECT dominant to dominant
-50 PERFECT weak to weak
PERFECT meaning no drops, no bad balls, no excuses. You mess up on any you start over again.
Heres another thread.

Thanks Jesse, I didn't see that thread when I searched.
So basically the wall balling is the same? Other then the added Choking up.
