While I do occasionally break down and pig out (side effect called "the munchies") I normally maintain a pretty healthy diet, and it pays off.

I was putting together a list of things I like to have around the house to either snack on or use to replace a meal. Any advice or commenting is much appreciated.

My List
Fat Free Milk and Cottage Cheese
Tuna (in water)
carrots and celery and lettuce
plain oatmeal or a healthy cereal like special k
eggs
cheddar cheese
apples
peanut butter
top ramen
rice
Whey Protein shake mix or bars
Low fat meats like chicken

For awhile I was confused on dieting and would go without eating some days etc (bad idea) so I am hoping with all these healthy foods around I can just have a snack every 3 or so hours and stay in good shape. We will see how it goes I can't really lose much more weight and be comfortable, when I cut down any farther I often get light headed or get a killer headache.

Do not eat Ramen. It has more sodium than a brick of salt. Try brown rice if you're going to eat rice. Cheese should also be usedsparingly, cut down your dairy to fat free milk and yogurt.

I didn't actually use the ramen seasoning, I know it screws up your kidneys.

and yeah I don't eat a ton of cheese but it is nice to have when I occasionally have eggs, or sometimes to flavor up a sandwich.

Is yogurt really > cottage cheese? Because I don't like the taste of plain yogurt but cottage cheese with salt and pepper does the trick for me.

Lay off the weed for awhile or smoke where you don't have food. Or if your gonna smoke just smoke at parties.

on cans of tuna they are labeled "in water" or "in light oil" etc. basically it is what ever the tuna is kept with. Oils of course having more fat, even aften being drained.

I like tuna in water and I don't add any mayonnaise because I don't really like the taste of fat, and then the fish is pure protein. 1 can of tuna is like 150 calories of almost pure protein, and you can get a can on sale for around 50 cents. A great buy.

plus you can invent some crazy recipes with tuna
