I just got a new stick setup yesterday and I love it. Even though I play D it's a short pole because I'm thinking of playing attack and It's easier to practice with because a long pole is a big cumbersome in my small backyard. Anyway it's a Harrow Box with a Warrior Finalizer strung up with 6d mesh. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I would now but my camera's out of power. I really like the way this stick feels. The harrow is really heavy this stick weighs about the same as my D stick which is a db803 with a Hype strung with 6d.

well, i'd have to say if your shorty weighs as much as your long pole then theres something weird...Unless you had a very LIGHT dpole and a harrow box and a brick in your finalizer? I'm not trying to flame, i am just saying that with my Alloy2k and finalizer the thing feels lighter than my friends dB803 w/ hype dpole, bah im just uselessly ranting, sorry bout that

i don't think that makes much sence, how does a d stick weigh less then a shortie???hmmm i'm guessing it just feels like it...weigh them...

Yea the weight thing suprised me. The 803 is a really light shaft but the Hype is kinda heavy but the harrow box is the heavyest of the harrows but the finaliser is light. I don't know if they weigh the same but if you feel them in both hands they seem about the same weight. Anyway it's a really nice setup and I love it.

i dont know how big your backyard is, but you arent going to get better playing long-pole by playing with a shortie.

use your pole and dont forget the gloves

I know I'm not going to get better at D but my backyard is really small I have barely enough room to practice with the shortie. Also I'm thinking of playing attack next year. I still practice with my D stich though.

everybody wants to play attack next year... practice hard, with both your hands and you might make the switch

I've always wanted to play attack. Defence was a close second choice. I asked if I could play attack when I first started and I couldn't but they needed some defenders so I was happy to switch to D. Now I have much better stick skills with a long stick and a short stick and I wanna try and make the switch.

i love playing D too. i wasnt really happy when i was switched to goalie in college, but was willing to do it for the good of the team, i was really happy when i got to go back to playing close d.

soem people are just cut our for playing D. ive never cared about goals or assists, so i guess i'm well suited to being a D man.

on another note: you really have to keep up using that long pole or you get way out of practice.

Yea I have been. I just got back from a camp were I was long pole. I love playing D but I reallly want to see what it's like playing attack. I've always wanted to and I want to know if I'd be a good attackman I have really good short stick skills and some of the best long stick skills on my team. Your right I need to keep from getting rusty and out of practice incase I end up playing D again. But at least for the begining of next season I'm going to try and play attack.

but we need d men with stick skills! trust me, it's incredibly annoying to be riding a d man, and have him able to dodge past you. It's one of the biggest threats because you can clear the ball really well instead of having the attackman get it away from the dmen then have a fast break if everyone's on the way out for the clear.

Actually having the best stick skills out of the D guys on my team isn't hard to do. We all suck but I'm going to be practicing my *** off with my shortie and my D pole all until the next season starts.
