alright, here is my problem. I cant seem to put any weight on, i am only 175 pounds, and i am 6'3". I have tried everything, protein shakes, eating a lot, i work out almost everyday. it just wont gain any. I am slowly adding muscular weight, but only like 5 pounds every 2 months. I was hoping to weigh around 180 for lax season. What would u recommend i do?

2.5 lbs per month of lean mass is not slowly. It is not something that just happens overnight, it takes time and hard work, anyone who tells you otherwise is lying or stupid.

your like me i am 6'1 and am 150 i have been tyring to gain all i do to gain is workout 4 days a week and rink cyto gainer, ipower, superpump250 isopure mass, and other thigs but you have to rest if you have a long day of practice and running it is not a good idea to workout because your muscles wont get rest and it will be harder for your muscles to rebulid/gain weight thats what my mom told me and shes a personal trainer hope it helps

if hes 'platued' (sp?) then he should add some variability to his lifts and not lift so often. limit it to every other day for an hour and half

less is more when it comes to lifting

You need to eat more.

From the end of wrestling season junior year to the end of winter quarter my freshman (college) year I lifted consistently and properly. In those two years I never gained 1 pound. Then I started eating more, a lot more. In three months I gained 15 pounds without becoming a pudge. Since then I've just started eating a lot more and I've still gained plenty of weight. You really just need to eat more. A typical dinner for me was ~40oz of milk (2 large glasses filled to the brim) 16oz of water, 1 ice cream cone, 4-5 hamburger patties, 1 large plate of pasta and marinara, and 1 large salad, maybe with a bowl of cereal.

Just like you can lift with extreme intensity, you can also eat with great intensity. You have to go past the point when it starts hurting, just keep eating. You'll start gaining, don't worry about that.

try upping your daily calories. I wouldn't jump to pigging out but keep upping it until you find what works for you. Also sleep atleast 8 hours a night, and work muscles until exhaustion but give them time to rest and recover, like a day or two in between until you work that muscle group again.

If you don't have a medical condition, you can gain. Genetics may not be on your side, but food is :)

Eat a lot more. Try and make a list that is categorized by day that has everything you should be eating. You should have a big breakfast, lunch and dinner along with big meals in between each and constantly snacking on something healthy.

good luck
