I don't have a gym membership because I work out in my school.. your school has no weightroom?

I have a membership, well my family does, and my dad knows the owner, so it's either free or 10$ a month. I go to Planet Fitness, and it is really good sometimes but its also gets very crowded. It is a good enviornment though and I would definitely go to it over school any day.

Also, your school, if it does have a weight room, is probably packed with kids trying to lift as much weight as they can and getting absolutely nothing out of it, and trying to impress their friends. Also, it probably isn't cleaned often, and there are definitely not as many machines in the high school weight room than a local fitness center.

So basically I would go for it if it is around 10$ a month, if there is a Planet Fitness around you.. no pressure, clean, lots of machines, good atmosphere.

I go to the local YMCA. I'm not really sure how much it costs, maybe $30 a month?

$10.00 for the 10 months. It is a school weight room and it is only open some days of the week.

I am saving $300.00 to buy my own gym. It will be worth it.

There is a gym at my church, I know its hilarious, but its awesome the nuns must be pumping iron in their free time. They have everything 5 flat benches, 3 incline, 3 decline, 5 squat racks, 4 full sets of dumbells, etc.

I'm in heaven when I'm there...

I got to golds gym. I get to go for free because my friends dad wons it so I just have to work one day a week for 2 hours cleaning. Its pretty easy. Its like 35$ a month normally or more.

And our weightrooms is fairly clean and sanitary, cleaned every night.

I used ot work at the most run down Ballys on the Earth in Worcester MA...they charged 25-40 a month depending on what time of year that you signed up. The best deals are in Feb and early summer, usually. January they rape you with charges, be wary of gym memberships this time of year. Also, shop around, if there is a gym with a great price, but you don't want to go there, have them write their price down and use it to barter your membership down at a nicer gym. If there is a 24 hour fitness in your area, hit it up - sickest gym I have ever belonged to.

I go to Genesis Atheletic Club. It's pretty expensive, like a grand or 2 a year. But that does include my whole family. The place is huge though, it has weightlifting stuff, a pool, basketball courts, raquetball courts, tennis courts, a huge cardio section, a track, and a sweet plyometrics area. I know a lot of you are thinking why would my family would waste their money on this, and the reality is it is pretty much a status thing where I live. It is really clean, there is a ton of space, and all my friends go there, so it is pretty much worth it.

I know. He started bragging about it like it was cool.

I go to Gold's Gym. GREAT place. Really. I think its 30-40 a punch, plus like 90ish down up front. But its all worth it. PLENTY of machines. Theres definately a surplus. People generalyl come in from 3-6 on weekdays. But even then, it still doesn't get crowded. They have tons of cardio machiens- Gazelles, Treadmills, Stationary Bikes, StepMasters, etc. The Chicks get their own little place, its called Lady's Gold, or something. The guys that work there are really nice. They'll spot for you if you need them, not to mention that they're pretty cool. You can't go wrong with Gold's. Trust me.

Our city bought an old JCC and opened it up the public. It's $25 a year for people under 18, and not much more for everyone else. It's pretty sweet, has two pools (indoor/outdoor), basketball court, tennis courts, racquetball courts, cardio room, and two weight rooms. Also outside there's a soccer field with some lax goals that the local league put out there.
