Did they re-design them? I know they had a lot of problems with ripping in the past and I wasn't sure if they went back to the drawing board and made them constructed better. Anyone have some info?

from what I understand is they were ripping at the soles because they were 2 piece as opposed to the normal 1. The ones you have there are 2 pieced soles, so they could have the same problem.

the ua's or nikes?
None, just go for some soccer cleats or warrior burn cleats.
Oh and try the brine blur too (10)

I have those cleats exactly, the Mid Metal Ds, I've only used them for fallball, but I liked them a lot. When I first wore them I slipped around a bit inside because the original insoles they came with were flimsy junk that would just slip and fold over when you stopped quick or anything, but I picked up some new insoles and I've had no problems since. They are really comfortable and have pretty good ankle support, and while I've only used them for like a month or so, they didn't show any signs of wear.

superbads are good, but i dont like them for lax. i have ua intensity mid d's and they are awesome...incredibly comfortable and pretty light, and have good ankle support. i changed the soles in mine too, i put in my orthotics to help with that issue. if you want something good, go for ua metals or intensitys, or go for soccer cleats, especially since your a middie.

i have the Nike Super Speeds 3/4 and they are the best cleats i have ever owned. i have never really liked the UA cleats that much.

Yeah I might give those UA's a chance with a new insole...

i use superbads for lax, but i took off the strap so they are low-tops

Yeah, it doesn't even look like the straps would give you any ankle support.

I got some UA's the speed mid D's and they are nice, I recommend insoles though, cause the first day or two your ankles won't be used to them and they hurt. But I ould definetaley go with some of those.

under armour came out with lacrosse specific cleats, they're called the iso mid D. they are on the lax world site here, :http://laxworld.com/item.php?mode=search&ww_item_no=UAIMD
Ii have the nike superspeed 3/4s and they're great. the nike huraches(sp?) are nice too, and if you like molded, the nike vapor jets are really nice. Oh yea, Iheard that reebok came out with lacrosse cleats and turf shoes?
