CR lost both their head and assistant coach this year so it could be tough if the coaching isn't as good. B-wine will be up there no doubt and so will Charter.

Your junior year is really important and I only started playing my freshmen year so I have been improving exponentially over the past 3-4 years now. I am plan to play at st. We got the assistant coach from CR, Drew Hughes. The head coach at CR went up to del tech to coach the juco team there. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Red lion got Ryan Tingle who graduated from UD recently. he's a great guy. he did some student teaching at M-town and he seems like he'll be a down to earth kinda coach and anyone that comes from Shillinglaw's program knows there stuff when it comes to lacrosse. No ofense, but TJ isn't really that nice. The only reason he played Varsity is because you didn't have any other decent goalies. Our sophmore goalie is so much better than TJ, and he was only the back-up goalie last year is because we had a senior goalie that had sufficient enough skill to earn his job with seniority and skill.

I'm a senior. I play for Middltown high school. Yeah Newark is in our confrence, so we play them every year. Not that great of a team though. I think they used to be decent, but it was before I was in High school.

The rnkings on laxpower don't come out until 3 games into the season. You guys should open up accounts for your teams online at teams.lax.com . We can see if that site will actually rank teams.

As for the News Journal and depreps.com I have no idea when they come out, but the News Journal is crap. I think they had us ranked 6th going into the playoffs last year.

Yeah we are flight A. We play Charter, concord, Newark, glasgow, christiana, and William Penn. I think that is all of them, but there is also flight B. B-wine plays flight B so M-town doesn't really have to worry bout playin them. Concord looks like they might have fallen off a little and might be in a rebuilding year this year. So just at first glance it looks like Charter and M-town will be fighting for the flight A championship. Hard to tell until the season though.

CR should have taken the State Championship last year, but that was a different generation. We had a very nasty team, but couldn't pull out a victory. Still thought, i cant understand how teams like Charter (i dont believe they've ever been in a final or semi-final, but i think they made playoffs a few times, CR hasnt missed the playoffs in 9 years...) can be contenders for a State Championship. How can you take a team that rarely gets far in the state tournament and expect them to play up to the level of play that comes with that pressure and that skill level.

And this kid from middletown, come now be realistic. I know Drew Hughes very personally, i've played under him since the 7th grade, up til last year. He is a very good coach, and it breaks my heart to see him go. However NO coach will be able to form a championship caliber team in 1 year...

charter should i have been in semifinals last year. the only reason we weren't was because had a tempermental starting goalie. the first time we played tatnall we lost be 2 i think. the time we played them in the playoffs, the beat us by over 10. also, when we played cr and br, our goalie also played like crap. d1dpole, if you played that game, you should remember that our goalie didn't save ANYTHING. supposedly this year, our goalie's gotten alot better and we also have another good goalie so we should make semifinals this year.

also, charter may not have made the semifinals yet but we have the potential to become a powerhouse. what other team has experience this much rapid growth? only 4-5 years ago, charter was considered a joke team much like mckean and newark. But 2 years ago, we made playoffs and last year we made it to quarterfinals and only lost because of the above reason in my opinion. i know we can't blame the loss on one palyer but he played a big role.

also, charter also has a huge change of doing well because of the hardworking players we have. players like beau and dan lantz, some of our star players, push themselves to the limit everyday.

but its not even the star players, more obscure players (like me) kill ourselves. i practice everyday and do all i can to be the best player i can be. i'm aiming to make 2nd line varsity this year.

We came in (our defense coach this year was the head coach, and our offensive/head coach played and was all-state) and played and lost nearly every game. The most sour of our losses was to Sallies. This was the first year that CR ever had a varisty team, so the next year we came at their throats. In 1996 we beat Sallies, and our old assiant coach (John Cavaleski) told our team that they werent even a challenge so he made the whole team do sprints up and down a hill :lol:. We didn't have all-americans, and we didnt have people going D1, but we had heart. We won the following year. This is besides the point however.

Our (new) coach has informed us that Tatnall has 11 players going D1. 11. I dont know about you but that is an entire feild of amazingly talented players. Im only a sophomore this year, but am looking at playing time on varsity (our strength is with our seniors, sophomores and a few freshman). Our team is rebuilding from having the amazing Dan Yearick (http://www.laxpower.com/all-amer/aa-list-hs.php?SelYear=2005&SelSex=B&SelList=AA) (could have gone to Maryland if he didnt tear his ACL, he goes to MSM (Mount Saint Mary's, another lower ranked D1 school) and full lines of great middies.

I dont believe your team has enough expirence against truly seasoned, trained individuals and against an entire team of amazing players. yeah i know you guys were sick last year. yearick was DISGUSTING. i think our team has enough experience tho. many of our seniors are disgusting such as trevor, noah, parot etc. and two of our star players are sophmores. They're amazing. there are so many talented kids on our team. i'm just too lazy to name them all.

Here are a couple things.... First off Delaware lacrosse is weak, so if a team like Tatnall losses 2AA's it doesn't matter. It's not like the other teams still have AA's.

Next, you people saying that your team was great last year...."blah.blah.blah" : Charter should not have been in the final four. Which of the teams in there do you think Charter was better than?

Ceasar Rodney had no shot at the title. Your defense and goalie weren't good enough to hold any of those other offenses. And Yearick was not nasty, he played half the season on one leg. Towards the end he got some of it back, but he was not the Yearick of years before.

To the St.Marks kid: you think you could have beaten Brandywine or C.R. if your goalie had played better? Your goalie doesn't have much room to get better, T.J. is as good as he is going to get. And the fact is that just isn't good enough.

To Caesar Rodney "supporters", they really are that bad. They lost almost everything. Yearick, coaching staff, Covoleski. They don't have the talent that they need to compete with the other teams. They might not have even had a chance if Coach Cov. had stayed, but a new coaching staff can't handle the drop in talent.

Lastly, I wasn't saying that the Tower Hill Fr. class was the reason they were that high. I was just stating that as an after thought. And Concord is always in a rebuilding year

No knock on CR cuz you guys have no doubt one of the top 3 programs in the state year in and year out. yea charter does have alot of potential. that kid beau is one of my best friends and i wont doubt he will be like an all american his senior year if not his junior. he the sickest kids ive ever SEEN played much less played with. hes easily like top 20 players in delaware and hes a sophmore. charters gonna be pretty nasty if they live up to thier potential the next to years. and i have absolutely nothing against cr because they also have an AMAZING program. by the way josh covaleski who plays for duke. what year is he in college and does he have a brother currently at cR?

Alright i just wasted 20 minutes of my life reading these ridiculous posts. From what i can tell this is just a bunch of players that simply hope that they will be on a varsity team next year. First off half the teams you all mention aren't even competitors. No one cares about D son and Hodgeson and the only time they are talked about is concerning how bad they are. There are teams that are always competitors and that people always worry about. Teams like Tatnall, CR, Cape, Brandywine, and Sallies. Teams like Charter, St. Andrews, St. Marks, and Tower Hill make their runs. There seems to be a lot of talk about Beau. No one can argue that he is not an extremely talented player and that he is in competition for All American. Thats it. Who ever said TJ was a good goalie is simply not smart. To conclude I know for a fact that Brandywinelax42 is in no way a representation of the Brandywine lacrosse team and he makes comments on his own accord. Thanks

flight B? In case you haven't heard there is this team called Brandywine and they're pretty good. I have heard from several people on the Hodgson team that you will not be good this year. Even if your new coach is great he can't make up for the lack of talent at hodgson. I'm not trying to attack hodgson lax or w\e I'm just saying that the talent to win has never really been there in the past few years. I don't really see why this year will be different going on what I saw last year and from what I have heard from hodgson players.

Charter may have all this buzz but what are they doing right now? We have been doing constant training (outside in the 10 degree weather) and working on team chemistry by playing basketball games tonight. You really need to put CR higher and who cares about Tower Hill's freshman class? they wont matter for 2-3 years...

drexler for tatnall he is really good..but i hear he is out due to an ACL injury..this year is very weird there are some top teams that have never been up there and there are older top teams lower in the top 10..Mtown is looking good..but sallies is looking like the team to beat

idk man CR played St. Andrews, and its sad that Lax power just shows the final score, b/c Cr was up 11-8 with about 5 - 6 minutes left, but they have ONE good player, and after a few defensive mistakes, and some shots that the goalie should have stopped, it ended 11 - 12 St. Andrews. I felt like crying after that game...

St. Andrews is definably a 4th quarter team. I'm pretty sure every game they have won so far they have been behind in. They do have one sick shooter that i think teams will start to be smart enough to lock off. Either way St. Andrews is solid. Yeah, I feel that Drexler's injury has really hurt Tatnall and that is why they are not winning games. Middletown is real good this year which surprised me but it doesn't seem like they have the depth of a team like Sallies. I think Sallies is the best team in the state but they are definably beatable.
