is it legal to tape down your ballstop?

I'm not sure on the legality of it, but your better off buying a new one or gluing it if you really want the same one.

yea, now you can even use tape as your ballstop aswell

well it depends what rules your league plays by but yea im pretty sure, because there arent specifications for what consitutes a ball stop is there?

You could have had your coach call for a double-horn (NFHS) and have the ref explain why that didn't qualify as a ballstop. As Maki said, there are no specs for them in the rulebook. The NCAA got smart and removed the ballstop requirement completely.

Yes I just attending a referee meeting last week and this was one of the topics descussed. We all agreed that having some tape there to serve as a ball stop would be fine sense they really serve no purpose in modern day sticks. I am sure that within the next few years the ball stor rule will aslo be removed from high school play.

your allowed to use tape as your ball stop because the rules don't classify what a ball stop is.
